There are two innocuous lads, on there, who are very well connected and aware of what's going on. One also posts here but the other doesn't. Both of them have contacted me to reassure me that the info I've had is mostly correct and to sympathise with the barrage of abuse from the imbeciles.
I don't need sympathy, I just laugh at the haters, but it was kind of them tbh.

They've posted, quite calmly, some genuine positive info but they're too subtle for the shouters to notice. People carrying such blinkered, and hateful, agendas are too thick to see what's in front of them and always believe they're in the majority as well as representing the correct point of view. No doubts in their minds, they're right and that's that. If they'd step back and think, for just a moment, they'd be able to see what's in front of them and recognise those two lads are telling it like it is. But just as always they're incapable of listening unless someone's shouting.

The wonderful Bob Paisley said that he'd always speak so softly that players would have to lean in to able to hear.
"And that's when you know they're really listening."

The other lads, I believe, are posting for all the decent people who really care about our club. They're not interested in a shouting match with the bitter clique of nasty minded pessimists who'd rather see the club fail if it proves their petty points.

Personally I care too much about the supporters, many of whom I'll see tomorrow, to make all this up. Not only that I'd be stupid to put myself in harm's way if it turned out I'd made it all up. There are hundreds, who know me or by sight, and they wouldn't be happy about being fooled for no good reason.

It's frustrating that the club announced, through the fanzines, etc, that everything was done but, in fairness, they're not used to dealing with the likes of 'Dell' who leave no stone, not even specks of dust, unturned. I said, at the start, they'd go through the club like a tsunami as I'd been told. That appears to be what's happening.

However, as I also said many times this process has gone too far to be reversed and I'm totally sure we'll hear the good news before too long. The last thing we all need is panic over rumours and people falling out. Everyone, with the club at heart, needs to pull together starting with an important game at Lincoln.

Donald and Methven obviously have their personal interests in mind but I genuinely believe they're doing a great job for SAFC and the supporters. I believe Donald 100% when he says he wants the best for the club as we all do. It's easy to post 'KTF' but this is a time to really keep the faith in my very humble opinion. Haway, let's grit our teeth and stick together ... this could be life changing for us all.
You'll do for me bonny lad

The world is full of people who are sceptical of everything they themselves have no first hand knowledge of,and who then love to be able to be proved correct and to say...."see,...what did I tell ya?" By doing it,they support their own view of themselves, projected to others, that they're too shrewd and clever to be taken in by anything or anyone.
It's a no-lose position, usually adopted by cowards and ne'er-do-wells, who are devoid of expressing any hope or optimism, for fear of being seen by others to have been misguided or gullible. Happily, most of us can express hope for the future and deal with disappointment if it comes, shrug our shoulders, laugh at ourselves and move on. Sad,but not surprising, there are a few who delight in infesting our general good nature!
As and when this takeover gets completed and announced, they'll lay low for a while and then switch their attention to speculation as to the "real" motives of the new owners, how much money they "really" intend to invest, the "real" reason behind new appointments and so on and so on. It'll probably be that the new owners "really"want to demolish the stadium to build some state of the art factory to develop AI, or to send someone into space.
It'll be tedious in the extreme, but not entirely unexpected! :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Great post mate, I've never seen anyone nail it better than this.

Seems they are looking at our brand already - what is this about the badge? Im ok to change it- hope they improve the quality of the strip, the quality of the merchandise in the stores too- id spend a lot more if we didnt have cheap quality threads for sale- oh and get rid of that panther- utter cheap and taccy- promote the original cat

Bonny lad and leadgate just doesn’t seem right. :emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

When I lived there a fella was in the papers for burglary. He was sending his little pet monkey through the letterbox of the shops in Leadgate and Consett.

He'd trained the monkey to pass out all the Woodbines in exchange for grapes.

He was caught because the monkey refused to come out one night.

When the magistrate asked why he said,

"Well I brought it on mesel like, I ran out of grapes". <laugh>
