Roker Report and ALS set the clock ticking by virtually declaring the takeover done.
I think even the people in the process, will have little control over the timescale. I mean, it's hard to put a timescale for wading through large amounts of literature and probing what is in there. The initial excitement has fuelled people's impatience and subsequently given them time to try and find something to worry about!!

I am definitely not itk. However, I don't think there is any actual delay, just people being impatient and trying to think of something that could be a problem. I think it's just the normal process for a multi million pound deal.

Oh yeah, I'm fully in the camp of this is a regular process rather than something being delayed. Completely calm at the moment on the time it's taking, I'd be worried if they came in and completed their purchase in a couple of weeks as that would suggest a lack of care and a poor approach. Luckily, these guys have made their money and reputation from being exactly the opposite of that.
I was saying it would make sense if we're believing there is a delay.

I'm actually not even arsed anymore me, pointless worrying about it now.

if it happens great, which I think it will. if it doesn't add it to the list of reasons why its hard being a Sunderland fan.

Never knew they invested in the UFC wonder at what stage?

I always told my pals back in 2000 it was going to explode but just got told it was people hugging or too brutal. Imagine if we went on the trajectory that the UFC has went in the MMA world..

Used to even be a member on Sherdog but that got full of absolute helmets in like 2011 I would presume it's even worse now especially since McGregor won the title.

It's almost too good to be true well it feels like it is.. Just really hope its not typical Sunderland and we may be back but get a kick in the bollocks.

It wouldn’t make any difference as they’re two separate legal entities. There’s nothing stopping the takeover of the club and any purchase of Short’s hotel company happening later on if that’s what their plan is.
Hope that's the case

I had a quick peek at RTG on a few occasions and thought at the time it was a caustic and very poisonous forum that seem to pander to keyboard warriors..not for genuine football fans who enjoy some decent craic and football debate. Good to see some decent posters jumping ship and coming on here.
It fills that criteria admirably.

Going to try and be ITK. I've got a work thing in Milton Keynes tomorrow and I'm staying in the double tree which is pretty much in MK dons ground, their owner has been chatting to people in the hotel bar trying to get them to go to the match (they're playing Fulham u21 in the checkatrade tonight). I said no because of the whole Wimbledon thing but I've now decided I'll stay in the bar after and be all nice if he or any directors are about. Didn't think about it at first but he'll have been with Donald and co on Saturday so might have discussed takeover. Hopefully they'll have a drink, I'll be charming and I'll ask if they've heard owt

Yeah I’m sure there’s a certain percentage over which the remaining shareholders have to sell up. It might be if 75% of shareholders agree to sell, then the remaining 25% have to sell compulsorily.
Bit like when Quinny and the Murphia stole my shares from me.
