Lots of stuff on the net about this being a hoax, dead or not it all seems a bit sick.

Corey Junior Davis, from Forest Gate in East London, died of gunshot wounds in hospital last night, aged 14.

Mike was a journalist and broadcaster for both the BBC and ITV, but so very much more. He was the consummate professional and a true believer in his roots.
He hailed from North Shields but saw no limits in his support of the North East. He quite rightly earned the love and respect of those lucky enough to witness his exuberance and doggedness in supporting everything North East, from the Great North Run to all manner of unheard of, but important to someone, worthy causes.
80 yrs of age and an illness that introduced him to death 11 yrs ago, but he fought on and has only just succumbed to the inevitable.
If you ever saw him captivate your TV or, if you were lucky enough to enjoy his company, you would appreciate we have lost a professional broadcaster, a charismatic man and a true Geordie admired by so many. RIP.
