Well, through my own personal experiences of living and working in and around Glasgow for all my days

Ok.

So these people are only racist and sectarian at Rangers games?
Like the plea of temporary insanity?

EDIT* and on the way to and from rangers games and in the pubs and clubs.

Ditto for me but I have never met a Rangers fan who would admit having sung it, never mind discussing it's true sarcastic meaning.

I could easily argue that 99% of Celtic fans who sing about the IRA are only doing so to wind up Gers fans, it still would not be true though.

In all fairness, with the exception of the Loudon and the Bristol, I've always found the more bitter element of Rangers is to be found outside Glasgow.

My city gets blamed for too much. I hate the argument that it's a Glasgow thing and the rest of Scotland watches on with disgust.

Most of the ****e happens with the away fans.<ok>

Haud the bus, are you saying Edge's "Glasgow experience" is null and void?

I doubt they are racist or facist in any way whatsoever.

But I believe that the tag 90 minute bigot applies to all at some point.

As a youngster I sang Billy Boys, NPOR etc, not because I believed in it or anything like that, just that I was surrounded by people singing the same thing and I snag it too, never at any point in my youth did I think I was a bigot.

That's what the neanderthal nature of football support is about. Brings the caveman out in many fans.

Well, if I was to look to this board, statistically speaking the worst Rangers bigots on here come from Girvan and Kent rather than Glasgow.

Although it's only a small minority, it does point to the idea that most of the ****ers who are more bigoted rarely see the inside of Ibrox.

That's not to say that there is indeed a faction of bitter fuds inside greyskull. But I've tended to find the more bitter element are not of Glaswegian persona.

But hey, I'm biased because I love my city.<ok>

So when neanderthals are collectively racist and sectarian for 90 minutes and beyond it should be excused?
The 90 minute bigot doesn't wash with me at all. If you find it acceptable in any circumstance, then you should be pulled on it.

The youngster thing I can accept. You moved on

Right on the money.

I never said it was to be accepted. On the contrary, the club and fans should be saying enough is enough.

Yet when the discussion was raised a couple of weeks back you didn't say anything at all.
