The atmosphere in the north stand can still get going. It got going for a few of the games last season but theres a lot of miserable bastards that sit on their arses and dont join in. When its only 1 in 5 singing it doesnt take long for the singing to stop. I tried the South West corner for a few games a few years back and the atmosphere is good but this is mainly due to the proximity to the away fans and the fact that loads of chavs have cottoned on to this and think it makes them hard to sit their and abuse the away fans. Away days will always be the best for atmosphere as everyone is buzzing in an us against them kind of way and are generally tanked up more than home fans also.

I'd go along with most of that mate, but i'd try and avoid calling a defined segment of our fans 'chavs', i know a lot of good lads who sit SWC purely for the singing.

It used to be rowdy in the North, it really did, it never really recovered from the McCarthy relegation, although we have had a few games were it's been cracking.

Remember the Spurs 3-1 game season before last, it was rocking.

Well at times in the East Stand, when it gets exciting and a little rowdy we have been know to break into quite outragous applause

I wasnt saying that they are all chavs but that a lot of chavs do now sit their. Cant really blame them for it like it gives them a worthwhile reason to vent some anger that could be directed elsewhere so its a good thing. I also know that most fans that sit their are hardcore fans and are the same guys that go to most the away games.

Spurs game a few years back was buzzing purely for everything that happened in that game and the bolo stunner to seal i would maybe say that is my favourite ever game at the SOL and its made funny now by the fact Bent missed 2 pens although it didnt seem it at the time.

Hopefully our next home game will shortly become my favourite ever home game as ive been to 4 derbys and only seen us draw once i missed the victory a few years back (Gutted)

Didn't think for a second you meant the 'chavs' thing in an offensive way marra, just suggesting some not like it, there'll be SWC lads on here <ok>

Spurs game was pretty close, one of those games when you walk out feeling invincible, euphoric as the derby win was, the Sheff United play off game still tops the list for me, second goes to the 3-2 against Burnley that took us up, behind, deflated, level, unsure, then Carlos....

What a ****ing night that was!

Yeah i was down in liverpool at uni for the burnley game when carlos hit that screamer i went crazy and the whole bar just looked at me full of confused scousers. Im a bit young for the Sheff utd game i was only about 10 but can remember listening to it on the radio. Also this game was a bit bittersweet after that game against Charlton. May sound funny but one of my favourite games was when Charlton beat us 3-1 at home and we scored 3 ogs in 7 minutes, not for the footy but the atmosphere second half was amazing the whole ground singing and even a mexican wave that lasted about 20 mins.

Sounds like a good policy. I remember i was 15-16 at the time and my parents got me a half season ticket. (The bastards) First time id ever had one and we got 1 point in the 9 games i went to with it and that was a 0-0 v Blackburn in the first of the games. I used to think i was cursed as i used to pick my games when i was younger would maybe make 3 or 4 a season and i went through a 3 season period without seeing us win. Come to think of it i aint seen us win in 2011 missed the wigan game i was on holiday and missed the blackburn game new years day due to being far too pissed and far from able to drive to it coupled with the lack of buses/metros on a bank holiday.

    Ha.

I have a mate welsh Dave, City fan, every time he's came to the SOL with me, we've won (15 or so games over 3 years).

He nearly didn't go when we played City last season, swears to this day he jinxed them, he was sick as ****.

Top lad, we rub his belly for luck at the top of the ramp at access 11, haha
