You have to go down to Mansfield, currently in 9th position, to find a team that won yesterday. Consequently, only SMH got into double figures with his forecasts, largely due to 6 points on his Joker match, Reading v Burton Albion.

Ron was a no-show as far as I can see,

Musty moved into a solo 2nd place but only 2 points ahead of Plym in 3rd. SMH overtook me into 5th place.

We move on now to a full round on Sunday: most unusual I presume this a rare occasion when players legs take priority over TV schedules. As far as that is concerned, these Sunday games apparently rank as "Displaced Saturday Games" and so 3pm kick-offs in all divisions will not be televised.

Some have you have already done forecasts for Sunday, but to save the rest of you having to faff around, here's the fixture text again:

You talk about "players legs" taking preference over TV scheduling this coming Sunday.

Years back that wasn't taken into consideration.

Mon 26th Dec 1960.....Charlton...6-4...Plymouth A.
Tues 27th Dec 1960.....Plymouth A...6-4...Charlton.

1.....1960 pitches in the winter months back then could be just a quagmire of mud.
2.....The leather ball could become a sodden heavy mass.
3.....Old football boots could become soaked and very heavy.
4.....Travelling in those days didn't have the benefit of M-Ways.....and train journeys would be no fun either....assuming that there was trains at Christmas.

Also Wilf Carter scored 5 goals for Argyle during their home game.

Also the wages where rather basic in those days.

Two games in 24hrs...20 goals scored.....all those miles travelled ...they must of been totally knackered.....and the fans would of been frayed at the edges.......and they might of had to go to work the next day.

.......And all for 2pts in those days.
 
I agree with what you say.......but as I mentioned the conditions....equipment....travelling where so inferior back then that it made it more a level playing field with todays conditions....equipment....travelling........I know which I would prefer.
