I'm on a schooldays nostalgia binge this morning, having been stirred up by Sensible, so I'll say "correct me me if I'm wrong lads" (favourite phrase of Ken Hunter, PE Teacher, much imitated, one finger missing, we never knew why) but as far as I can see, Ron didn't bother with these two matches and to be honest, most of the rest of us needn't have bothered either.

Saturday. Why did nobody at the Football League think of that before? The first games do kick off at
