The only way that Saints would ever be in Portsmouth shadow, would be at sunrise, provided you added another 500 M to the height of the Spinnaker tower.....
Our Spinnaker Tower is bigger than your Spinn.........wait a minute, you haven't got one have you ? Bunch of cheapskates <see what I did there !>
You will always be in our shadow and natural order will be restored soon. After all your learned Polish colleagues at the Southampton Art Gallery did after all exhibit our probably most famous supporter John PFC Westwood in the gallery, wearing our colours , of course, much to some of your fellow Scummers disgust!. What a laugh, a bit of a joke really just like Scumhampton! http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4657876.Portrait_of_Pompey_fan_on_show_in_Southampton/
He's no Matinée idol our John. More of an Idle Manatee. But he's a more learned man than people think. I do like a bit of art, especially the Pre Raphaelites Millais' Ophelia just a breath taking work. please log in to view this image
I thought he was from Jersey, I didn't know that he was born in Southampton, is there a blue plaque somewhere, I'd like to visit that. Have you ever seen the supposed skull in the foliage? It's to the right in the middle just above the floating patch of weed.
His family were an old Jersey family, but had presumably moved to Southampton. We are very fond of Channel Islanders (especially from Guernsey) That's a skull, is it? Love the detail and the light.
I remember in Bergerac the bad guys sometimes came from Portsmouth, disgraceful stereotyping by the beeb. Here's the skull in closer detail I can't imagine it was a fluke when you consider the subject. please log in to view this image
The only neighbours round here are woolly and they have every reason to be frightened by one of the locals willy waving!
Actually Woopert, I have to confess that the Spinnaker Tower is quite good, as impressive an erection as has been seen in the Portsmouth area for many a year. Southampton, as a symbol of the city, has the Bargate, part of the remains of a medieval rectangular enclosure which gave very rudimentary shelter to a few thousand locals. Damp and cold, it must have been quite unsanitary, but I guess it was all those folk had, poor souls. A bit like Fratton Park, I guess. So, swings and roundabouts.......
And that stream is just off the Toby Jug roundabout at Tolworth in Surrey. Ta Dah! If you say you knew that then your pants will remain on fire for eternity......
Watneys Red Barrel? What, that ' keg beer? They always said that Red Barrel was a bit like making love in a punt. BTW, window has closed and Saints only spent about £60 million. Of our own money! Not so much "trousering" as SB3 feared!
SB3 seems to have lost his voice since we beat West Spam and concluded our successful transfer window. Where's that fire-sale now?
