Its true I have only just finished a large helping of Humble Pie and can not really face licking my wounds until after the weekend, when I hope for a resurgence of form from the blues and a big slump from the SCUMMERS!
There must be just two occasions in the season when Pompey fans want Southampton to win. One must be when Saints play Manchester United. Surely even Pompey fans must despise all the United supporters that were born and still live in the PO area, so when Saints win (I hope) Pompey fans can mock these glory hunters of the world's "most famous" club. The other occasion is when Saints play Chelsea as there are just so many CHAVS (Chelsea fans) in the PO area that are Hampshire born and bred. I always say support your local teams first.
Wouldn't you prefer a bigger slump from Manchester United so you can take the p*** out of all these glory hunters?
I'd be embarrassed were I a Pompey fan. 1)because I'm a Pompey fan and 2) because my club, which dwarfs all the others in L2 in stature and income, is miles away from top of the league.
I'd be embarrased if I were a Saints fan at the moment, Piebacca, seeing as two of your so called "fans" are prosecuted and banned for three games, for giving Spurs fans Nazi salutes. Especially seeing as your owner is of German stock. Tut, Tut, Tut. Still, have a nice weekend...........
It smells of desperation to be loved when you have to encourage your neighbours to love you more than somebody else. Are Southampton supporters that insecure and starved of affection? ...just for you Ides.
Why would anyone in Hampshire, but someone who is desperate for glory support Chelsea or Manchester United? It would be great if Saints could beat United today, so the likes of SB3 can do a wind-up job on his glory-seeking United workmate and/or friends.
Morning Sensible!! I am actually a hybrid, that rare breed who supports all three of the teams in the BBC Solent region. I am neither for Saints or Pompey, but will cheer both to win things. When it comes to the Derby, it depends who is the more likely to win things,. So when Pompey played Saints in the FA Cup, it was Pompey as they had more of a chance of winnng, in 2011/12 it was the Saints with promotion on the line. This season it could be Pompey as they fight for promotion while Saints look likely to keep away from relegation.
Think I will change tack and tip the Scummers to win every remaining match 3-0, that should sort it..
Oh, you love us now Greeny?, I hope Argyle get promoted now, preferably beating Pompey on pens in the play-offs!....
