Well it will be the software so they can’t really use it if bloom doesn’t let them. And poaching top execs doesn’t mean much if they can’t bring that software with them?

The software can be replicated if you hire the programmers. Even if it's somehow patented, the process can be aped quite easily.

Could say the same for the Glazers - hasn't stopped them from selling a % for the right price

I mean I’m not sure you can compare Brighton born and fan tony bloom owning Brighton, to the American glazers selling 25% of man United for a huge profit while retaining majority of the club to a guy who isn’t the owner of a rival football club?

I'm saying everything has a price these days. Tony Bloom proves this more than most, he purchases players to sell on at large profits as per his business model. If you think he's keeping hold of Brighton to the day he dies and hands it down through his will, I'm going to say I highly doubt it.

Not sure I said he would? We were talking about the software Brighton use which is via another company that’s owned by Bloom.

However what I would think is that Bloom wouldnt sell the club to anyone who just put down a load of money. First and foremost he’s a fan of the club so would want to do what’s best for them rather than what’s best for himself.

The guy has more money than he could ever spend and makes more money out of horse racing/poker and other companies than makes at Brighton.

The way it came across to me was you were claiming lifelong Brighton fan Tony bloom wouldn’t sell a business asset to a rival. My point is that Is what Tony bloom has done repeatedly as Brighton owner and is exactly what his business model is as has been evident more than what your claiming.

There’s a vast difference between selling a player for 60m that they believe they can replace for 10m.

then selling the very thing that helps them find those 10m assets to a rival to increase their own competition in finding those players which in turn means they can’t sell them for big money in a few years.

Put it this way. If you were selling fruit and veg and had a cheap wholesaler that could flip huge profit on, would you sell out the name of that wholesaler for a one off profit and increase your competition in the market for a quick buck, or keep it secret so you were its sole buyer in order for you to keep selling the veg at a high mark up?

That would depend very much on weather I wanted to spend 20 years making £1bn or if I wanted that £1bn right now and move onto my next business project.
