Guess I am lucky to be able to follow the game and positions of our defence the opposition forwards positioning looking for where the breaks could be when we are off the ball....... would have expected this skill to be part of any supporters tool kit really. (or am I just misreading the sentiment? - first day back at work an all.)

Where amongst this does watching SL to see who he's looking at in the stand come? There are also other factors about what you can see in terms of where you're sitting as to what angle, how much view you've got (eg I'm only 5' 5" and I can choose where I sit at the Vic, but not when we're away) etc.
hadn't even considered RG's international 'honours'. Either that makes us even better off or ROI poor in that particular department 
Just found it odd that such a thing could be noticed during a game, that's all. If being able to look around for such things when we are off the ball is part of your supporter's toolkit, fair enough - although I do reckon a goalkeeper should be allowed the same leeway if the ball is up the other end of the pitch!

That's really disapointing to hear. Despite what some say he is a good keeper and had another good away game yesterday despite the sending off. I hope others are encouraging him? He is still young and could become disheartened by it (not wanting to be where he thinks he is not wanted) all. Maybe it is a coincidence but his best games have been away from home this season.
A number one, a clear number two, and a youngster who looks capable of seizing the position in the way Loach did given a chance. Good planning.
The abuse he gets on twitter is shocking, but thankfully, for every negative comment, there are enough of us that send him tweets of support and hopefully he takes those as much or more to heart than the negativity. There was a footballer a year or so ago (i don' remember who) who had his twitter account for half a day and got rid of it because of all the abuse he got...it does amaze me sometimes how Scott puts up with it...he's not a bad keeper, he proves that week in, week out, and yes, like every player in our team, he makes mistakes...but he doesn't deserve such awful abuse..none of them do...if we want the team to do well, support is the way to go. Discuss him in the pub afterwards, but an outward show of support is what he needs now...otherwise he will only make more errors.
Sorry for the rant..it really gets my goat!

No need to apologise H, it's rediculous the amount of abuse he gets on there! Hopefully he doesn't take any notice, but must be hard to take sometimes!
Yet again, the boy blunder does it to us............how much longer do we have to endure this lad's dreadful c**k-ups!

This is really starting to piss me off. Back from a fantastic display to be proud of by ALL THE LADS all some people can do is slag off Scotty. If maybe one or better still 2 of the millions of attempts we had were put away we wouldn't be even discussing the spurs goal. Where are the posts slating Troy for missing a sitter, Garner for not puttig away his header, Marvn for not getting rid quickly enough, Prince for shooting when better options were open? Nowhere, natch -just simplistic moaning from simpletons about Loach, who I thought goal aside had a very good game.

Yes he had nothing to do other than pick the ball up from the net, but his one slip cost us again having watched the goal admittedly only once on the breakfast News it did bounce in front of him. But time and time again it is SL who lets us down, he has very good reactions, he is quick agile but so prone to errors in the long run he could cost SD his job! I know he is only a kid (23) and he might go on to bigger and better things but we need some steady hands behind the back 4.
I am not taking away fom a brilliant overall performance from the whole team SL included, but we need an old sweat between the sticks IMHO

Were yesterday an average game against an average team I'd probably be disagreeing with Hornette and Harrow, arguing that Scott had a quiet game, and that the goal was the only incident where a keeper of Loach's quality might have made the difference.
But you know what, I haven't seen the replay and I'm not going to go out of my way to (although I'm watching Liverpool Man-Utd so I might chance upon it in a minute). I'm just proud of the performance the entire team put in last night, and of the fans that made it. That some players might have had better or worse games than others doesn't really matter. Today is not a day for scapegoats.
Flying my own flag quite a lot here, but before either match was played I drew parallels between Murray-Djokovic and Watford-Spurs. Admittedly I said the football scoreline would reflect the number of sets each tennis player won, but the comparisons are there.

The problem with Scott Loach is not the fans fault and is not of our making. His inabilty to save long shots has been there for all to see over a long time - it even goes right back to when he played for England U21's against Germany U21's a few years ago. I agree that he should have been rested for his own sake to allow him to develop without being in the spotlight every week. However, I worry that there may be something physically wrong with the lad. I'm sure they must check his eyesight but he appears to lose focus as the ball comes towards him and is unable to re-adjust his body when the ball deviates in the air or off the ground. I do genuinely hope he can regain his confidence but football is a tough business and I'm afraid as many posters have said, we have to put a man with experience between the sticks NOW!

Good point Scottish, I briefly mentioned his eyesight after the Totenham match to some mates and genuinely wondered whether his inability to stop long shots and to drop balls might be down to basic bad eyesight. It would explain a lot of stuff!
