Ahh I see you are merely referring to my exaggeration of tax free utopia?? That was bollocks. Yes. Merely enhancing my point that he salmond plans on increasing spending whilst lowering taxes. Free university.. Free dentist. Everything is going to be free up there. Free smack free Buckie. All paid for my raising less tax revenue. Makes perfect sense. Honest.

Up until a couple of years ago The North East Of Scotland provided more than it took out.

It will be the same under an independent Central Belt based run Scotland, i.e. giving more than getting back. Stands to reason and anyone that tells you otherwise is deluded.

Whether they do or not isn't the point I am making. Just merely pointing out that they won't receive it. I don't profess to know how much they get given. I believe it is somewhere in the region of 5 billion a year.

Now that is going to cause a hole in any pocket whilst saying they will provide everything free and promising they will lower tax..

Surely though, if they don't have to contribute and they are currently paying in more than they take out that will offset Barnett?
 
Who knows. Apparently salmond was asked this very question and proceeded to skirt round it. Why would he not have given a straight answer if it would make Scotland better off without it? It's all lies.

I personally think this whole thing is very very sad. It will be a exceedingly sad day if the yes camp win. Perhaps I sound like a patriotic twat but the union is a 300 year old political and social alliance that essentially ruled the world for the most part. Breaking it up because salmond can't provide facts or state how any of it will work is madness..

I'm welling up here. ..

So it isn't Economics it's British Nationalism? Yet Scottish Nationalism is spoken of as if it is worse than Nazism.

It's up to the Scots to decide, I still think it will be NO although by too small a margin to put it to bed, the demographic voting age ways would be interesting to see.

Sorry Ciaran have to pull you up there. It is up to the people who reside in Scotland and are eligible to vote to decide. Half the population is non Scottish.
