It does seem like it will be the next generation of Scots who may well have to step up to the mark.

Scotland's first minister has said the Australian prime minister's comments on Scottish independence were "foolish, hypocritical and offensive".

Alex Salmond was speaking after Tony Abbott told the Times it was "hard to see how the world would be helped by an independent Scotland".

Mr Abbott said those who would like to see the UK break up were "not the friends of justice... [or] freedom".

The first minister said this was offensive to the people of Scotland.

Voters in Scotland will go to the polls on 18 September.

It depends what polls you choose to believe. As I said the tories actually see this as a way of getting rid of us.

I'm not believing any Polls Eric, and I certainly don't think the Tories want rid of Scotland.

What gives you that idea?

They don't need us to vote for them.

That's part of the problem for some people.

It is a problem for the people of Scotland as we are rarely represented by those we vote for. It is now a problem for the tories in England as their majority is not what it used to be.

They get **** all votes in Scotland these days yet they are in Govt?

How can their support in England be dwindling Eric?
