Should Scotland be an Independent Country?

  • Yes

  • No

Is that how you make all your decisions ... no facts, just go for it?

What I`m saying Pud is that there are very few concrete facts to base an opinion on, for each " fact " proposed by one side an opposing " fact " is quoted by the other. To me it is quite simply a referendum on whether or not you believe Scotland has the skills, knowledge, confidence and wherewithal to make its own way in the world.

Many people seem to want a checklist that says - Vote Yes and that equates to A,B and C, Vote No and that equates to X,Y and Z. I just dont think such a thing can exist. It will be what people make it in the future.

That said - I will be utterly amazed if the majority vote Yes.

Of course there are no facts. It is like voting in the general election you are voting on hope rather than facts. Half the time they never do what they say they will.

The fact is the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland all have a higher standard of living than Scotland (and Northern Ireland and Wales) and it's not because of weather or genetics or culture. The peripherals are not important to the London government, until they threaten to break away...

Maybe they should simply learn to get off their lazy fat asses and contribute something to society instead of constantly beeling because London generates all the wealth. :)

It does generate all the wealth in the UK, that's the point - half the clever people I knew in school headed straight to London as soon as they finished Uni. A brain drain is hardly something to aspire to maintain.

I don't get all this wealth in London stuff...i live an hour from London and it is no where near as glamorous as people place it to be in the financial stakes, unless your really the small percentage at the top end of your game. I know loads of people that work in the City, add in the private hours spent travelling, the late nights, the cost of travel it drops that standard of livelihood down considerably. I think London has some false persona of wealth that people have created for it, without looking at the reality of their lives.

The thing with london is you are constantly renting. All that money wasted.

Liar, the streets are paved with gold, gold I tells ya. All you swanky Londoners driving about in your Ferraris and ****, snorting coke out of Champagne flutes which you paid for with your massive bonuses.

We are onto you.
