So what you are saying is that we need to develop our economies even further until we get to the point where we have the clean technology to stop polluting?

Kind of, but over a period of time as we reach the thin end of the wedge thick ****s will realise it's the capitalist model that has done most of the damage to the planet and been the cause of most wars therefore being responsible for far more deaths than communism. :)
