Should Scotland be an Independent Country?

  • No

Scottish banknotes are unusual, firstly because they are issued by retail banks, not central banks, and secondly, as they are technically not legal tender anywhere in the United Kingdom – not even in Scotland.[1][2] As such, they are classified as a promissory note and legislation requires that for every Scottish bankote in circulation, an equivalent copy of a Bank of England banknote of the same monetary value is held in the vaults of Scottish banks.[3][4]
Never knew that. Would it not be easier and cheaper for your banks to just use proper money?

Well, the cowards in this country ****ed up Indy and were happy to keep it this way.

Now you know if ye tap a Scotsman fur a fiver yer no getting a fiver yer getting a promissory note equal in value to a fiver where accepted.

The round system can be a bit unfair, some end up buying an extra round.
The everyone-put-into-the-pot system works better till some pissed twat (me) blows what's left on crisps...
