Don't tell me that you're so naive to believe that a paper and its Sunday edition hold differing opinions?

PITY THE TIMMY <ROFL>

Okay, show me the editorial where the Herald has come out as pro-indy. In the editorial in the Sunday Herald it even stated it was doing it independently (excuse the pun) from the daily. A daily gander at the Herald would, to anyone with an IQ in double figures, show that it has no bias either way - it prints as many pro-union stories as it does pro-indy stories.

This may change, of course, as the referendum draws nearer.

But please, do stop.

What a spunkbucket.

I propose a similar reaction from you should, lets say the Sunday Times, comes out as pro-UK, but the regular Times "prints as many pro-union stories as it does pro-UK stories".

Of course, you wouldn't be spewing into your Quornflakes decrying bias and "that basturt murdik"

You really are a hypocritical ****, much in the same mould as your hero, WeevilBhoy.

If these incredibly close intertwined unions of nations are so beneficial I dont get why everyones not doing it ?

They are though. The USA is a collection of former independent states. Germany was formerly Prussia plus many city states up until 1815, the Italy of today was formerly a collection of independent states until 1856. Nations uniting, have happened throughout history. Poland and Lithuania, Austria and Hungary etcetera, to name a few, and will continue in the future.

The EU, Latin American Free Trade Association, ASEAN Free Trade Area, the African Union are all "Free Trade Bodies" that may very well unite to form a nation such is the way the world is going.

Cooperation and fairness is the key.

I think the UK has very diverse regional economies though and one-size-fits-all rules often don't work, for instance the spare bedroom 'tax' makes a lot of sense in London but no sense in Belfast (where there are very few flats and virtually no single bedroom properties). Small autonomous regions have done very well in the last half century, look at Hong Kong, Singapore, Luxembourg, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man etc - also notice how France, Germany and the UK are behind many of the small countries of Europe in GDP per head http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)_per_capita

I don't think that the UK has a very diverse economy at all. I think it's London vs the Rest. If anything, perhaps London should go it alone such is their contribution to the UK's GDP.

I'm very aware of how well city states have done and I'm not against Scottish Independence per se, but I am scared of Socialism and feel that it's near certain that the Jocks will wonder down this route as most of us are thick as **** and read the Daily record and vote labour.

I'm also aware of the social fabric of the UK and our shared history. I see England and Scotland being very small nations until we stopped fighting each other and united to form one of the most successful states in the world.

If Scotland votes for Indy, I'd want a stake in NI staying under Jock and Nigel protection and free from Rome-Rule.

Author JK Rowling has made a £1m donation to help fund the campaign against Scottish independence.

The writer of the Harry Potter books, who lives in Edinburgh, has publicly backed the Better Together campaign.

Explaining her decision on her website, Ms Rowling said there was a "denial of risks" within the "Yes" campaign.

She also said there was a "fringe of nationalists who like to demonise anyone who is not blindly and unquestionably pro-independence".
