You *****s are as bad as the Americans and their right to bear arms.

Who the **** cares about the old empire.

It's ****ed and its never coming back. Ever.

What did Ireland get out of this Empire? In fact, what did the English poor get out of this Empire 'crept being sent to kill darkies and injuns?
Let's not Oirish the thread off topic please.. You live in a Republic and have no say on the topic tatty boi.

Population of Yorkshire is bigger than Scotland.

Aye? How does Yorkshire's assets compare to Scotland's?

I suspect Yorkshire is nothing but a drain on the UK. If you ****s asked for independence ye's wid get it even before ye finished asking the question.

The English poor didn't get a lot from the Empire, so why are we still blamed for all of Scotland's misfortunes? Upper-class Irish, Welsh, Scots and English people all benefitted from the Empire, but the proletariat of these countries didn't at all. You might not like to hear this, but Irish aristocrats were also complicit in building the Empire, not just English aristocrats.

Then its just dandy , thanks.

if only Andy Murray didnt live in Surrey .....tsk tsk , he might have made all the difference if he had lived in the country he wants independence for.

He could have voted that 0.0000001 per cent

When Shetland gets independence and you lose your oil. I'd imagine Yorkshires assets are far greater. Their spending on pensions is considerably less that what you'll be burdened with.

I'm not trying to start a row. I want Scotland to stay in the union.

Shetland is not a Country and never has been. It's not going to happen. Even if it did they would only own the waters up to 12 miles from their coast, and there's no oil there.

Wooft, reports on telly of 97% turnout. That canny be right can it?
