PR is not necessarily more democratic. My experience in the Netherlands was that every election ended up as a coalition because of PR. The people got no say in if it would be a centre-left or centre-right coalition. It all came down to horse-trading between the various parties behind closed doors.

That's a lot more democratic than getting 38% in 300 specific geographic areas then getting all the power.

Less effective, maybe, but I think it's more reasonable.

I feel in ma watter the turn out will be pretty high. Last few months wherever you go there's ****s arguing about yes/no.
