The very existence of this thread makes a compelling case for Scottish independence, given that there was a viable, history-laden thread of proven longevity on the subject arbitrarily closed down at the whim of an english morris dancing hand.

You shouldn't jump to conclusions blaming us morris dancing nigel ****s for all your woes.

The general consensus was, it was a left footer who currently resides on the Isle of Man that closed the thread. :)

Pope Francis has cast doubt on the case for Scottish independence, saying he asks himself whether the case for it is "clear".

The spiritual leader of the world's 1.2 billion Catholics told a Catalonian newspaper that countries breaking away from larger states should be considered on a "case-by-case basis".

He acknowledged the case was "clear" in in some cases but listed Scotland as one of the cases where "I ask myself it is so clear".

This story is popeing up everywhere

Is that the best you've got, really?

Accusing the BBC of bias is standard fallback position for Tories in trouble everywhere. Will the tartan tories now be adopting the same tactic?

I don't own the Scotsman (which, by ra way, is anti-independence.)

Try harder, son.

Taxpayer funded broadcaster allows Better Together use its studio to film an advert. Nah, nothing to see here - just move along.

Oh, by the way, here's Dr John Robertson of the University of West Scotland and his in-depth analysis of BBC bias in the referendum:

The BBC1, Reporting Scotland alerts are commonly short and punchy with an attack, typically a Westminster scare story, on the Yes campaign, mostly left unanswered and unchallenged.

So, on the objective evidence presented here, the mainstream TV coverage of the first year of the independence referendum campaigns has not been fair or balanced. Taken together, we have evidence of coverage which seems likely to have damaged the Yes campaign.

I have to go out now to do some campaigning but I'll leave you to reflect on your morning schooling at the hands of a superior being <ok>
