The only way it will change is if Kasper asks to go. Imagine this then. You lot didnt get promoted, James Chester is happy to stay but wont sign a new deal and the only offers you get are crap

Do you sell him on the cheap just so you get some money or do you keep him for the promotion push and risk losing him for nothing

If Kasper is happy to stay and no one meets the asking price we just keep him and risk losing him for nothing. If we get promoted and he walks for nothing it will be worth it

I know what you mean, but at championship level especially, goalies are much more easily replaceable than outfield players without breaking the bank. It depends whether you can get a new man in and profit out of what we offer. If what we offer is enough to get a new goalie in with some cash left over and the space made in the wage bill to bring in an extra 1 or 2 outfield players, it could be good business for you.

If i were Kasper i would tell Lesta that i shall see out my contarct and see what happens come the summer of 2014. If Lesta miss out again on the PL then he can do what he likes.

Thats one of his options. If we go up he might sign a new deal or he might walk

If we dont go up he walks and as a free agent he will get even more money then he would through buying through a club

I would never want to stand in the way of a player that had the ambition to play for a better Club.

Also, with FFP kicking in I would expect my club to maximise the gain or minimise the loss from any situation.

One thing I would not be happy about would be if the owners acted in a way was not in the best interests of the Club by allowing emotions to get in the way of good decision making.

I think with a player like Kasper money won't come anywhere near matching his ambitions. For one the money's already in the family after his dads career, second he's already had a few years on good money himself so will be rolling in it anyway.

Players don't tend to do that, unless they are reaching the end of their careers, because their agents don't let them. It would be a HUGE risk. What if he gets to next April and breaks a leg??

Selling your best players is not in the interest of the club

Indeed correct. That is why Lesta will do well to get much above £2m. Steve Bruce could offer Cammy Stewart as well as cash. But i suspect that it will also depend on what Kaspar wants to do.

I bet Peter has much to say about what Kaspar does. He is young enough to come back froma broken leg especially as a gk. It will depend on Lesta and the game they play but Kaspar actually holds all the aces now.

Everything rest with Kasper. If he is happy to stay and no one blows our socks off with an offer then he stays

He he wants to go then its about getting the best deal for the club. As for Cameron Stewart I cant see us being interested now as we have Dyer, Marshall and Knockaert

It is when FFP is taken into consideration.

FFP doesnt fully come into effect for another 3 seasons after this

After this season the rules come in but they arent very strict and then they get tighter for the next 2 seasons

Either way at the minute we are going to fail but before they come in we have alot of contracts running out so we are prepared for it. Of Sven's trolley dash only Beckford's contract runs beyond the coming season

So thats Nugent, Danns, St. Ledger, Wellens, Whitbread, Dyer, Morgan, Schmeichel and Waghorn's contracts all expiring so you can see the wage bill will be significantly less before FFP

Proud, FFP starts this coming season, so your losses this season will be taken into account when punishments start in 3 years time. You can make up to a £8m loss thus season within the rules though on top of a small amount of shareholder investment (think its 2 or 3 mil) so you can essentially still lose 10m guilt free this season.

They start next season but it still takes another 2 seasons to fully come into effect

The rules are pretty lenient for the first years and they get stricter for the following 2 seasons

I have this feeling that Leicester fans and FFP are like King Canute and the sea - the people who will be most in the know about FFP at any club are the owners/board of directors/management staff and I have a feeling that all clubs will be erring on the side of caution to avoid action taken against them - then after we have seen how the rules are enforced (and I can see them being rather harsh on the first few to fail the rules as a warning to other clubs), then clubs may then be a little less cautious

Plenty do though ... mostly at Arsenal LOL

... but the most intriguing thing about Proud's quote post from Dad Peter is this:

"How [the speculation] ends, is under the control of Kasper, his club and his agent", he added. "It will not be easy for him to leave, because he is at a club that definitely will not let go of him."

That suggests to me that there may have already been enquiries / discussions and Kasper has been told that he won't be going anywhere if the club has it's way and certainly not on the cheap if it doesn't ... and that'll do for me.

it depends on which part of the article you want to read , the rest of it very much sounds to me that he would be very interested in joining uncle Steve in the premier league.
