We have announced SBOBET Asia's biggest betting market as official betting sponsor,

SBOBET Executive Director, Bill Mummery, added: “We are delighted to be working with Hull City Tigers for our mutual success. Asia is a very important market for the Premier League and the combined strength of our brands will undoubtedly raise the profile of the Club. We shall also be looking for opportunities to work with the Club in its local community.”

no branding on their website yet but could be good a step, I think its good work.

my opinion no one has to agree, but what does everybody else think?

I bet those who aren't bothered about the name change say "oh, well clearly rebranding is working as we have an Asian sponsor", which is bullshit - did West Ham rebrand? Because they had them as sponsors recently.

They were shirt sponsors for WHU in 2012/13 and Cardiff City in 2010/11. Who next? See their European headquarters are in the Isle of Man. loads of new fans then?

What next? Cash Converters Asian branch? City Wok?

This could've been done without him rebranding City.

The Tiger is a potent symbol across Asia in many cultures and has long been a fixture in indigenous India, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and Japan. Tigers are associated with power, ferocity, passion and sensuality, beauty and speed, cruelty and wrath. The appearance of a tiger in a dream may signal that new power or passion may awaken within you

In Asia the tiger is associated with the power and might of kings

The Koreans call the tiger the 'King of the Animals'

In China, tiger images are used as charms to ward off evil.

Emphasizing the TIGER brand in Asia is a very clever thing to do in my opinion which im entitled to.

Means sod all. In France the cockeral is their national symbol, but they don't all follow Spurs.

Doesn't mean they'll jump at the chance to buy one of our shirts, kits, or jump on a plane to Humberside Airport and go to the KC to watch us. Not when there's better teams they'll support.

Also, he didn't have to change the name. He could've marketed the nickname similar to what Spurs have done, but also kept the traditional club name.
