Grouseman windsor 3 50 , ran on strongly at beverley lto , first run at this trip , his mama , Speciosa loved soft ground , this is a modest race , at 25/1 , current price , friday night , could make a mockery of his mark in the conditions , martin harley also a good sign .

An ew Lucky 15 and a couple of singles today for me.
2.25 Good Miltown Star
3.35 Good Regal Reality
3.50 Windsor Grouseman (cheers Rudy)
4.05 New Burmese Waltz
Charity Shield. Liverpool win on Pens 13/2 will do for me.

3:40 Wexford - Paloma Blue
4:15 Wexford - Rapid Response

Morning. Usual August BH weather which means there's nothing to rush outside for, so can have a look at todays cards.

Redcar 5.45 - Sassoon 16/1 e/w (currently 8 runners, even after 5 withdrawals) sticking with Ben Haslam as he's still got his string in good form.

Will have a bit on Rudeys in the 3.50 at Windsor and also Bad Company 14/1 in that race which I fancy to have a good run.

Enjoy your day gents.<ale>

Morning all..2 bets for me today:

Goodwood 1.50pm
Seattle Rock 12/1 each way. With heavy ground at Goodwood there could be some strange results. She is the only one to encounter ground anywhere remotely near heavy. I think jockey is a good booking and she didn't finish too far behind Battleground a few starts back. Pomelo will win this if handling the ground but I m willing to take on the favourite with the outsider of the party..

Newmarket 2.05pm
Watan 6/1 each way. Hopefully all 8 runners now stand their ground. I was quite taken by his first run of the season although he did disappoint last time. 6 furlongs on soft ground should be ideal for him so I m expecting him to go very close.

Good luck all..

I have seen GROUSEMAN tipped in several places. Was drifting last night but the money is coming for him now. Solid reasons for backing him and good luck, had a bit myself. 20's still available but not for long I reckon. My main concern is that there are a possible of handicap fiddles in the race. We hope we are on the right one.

I had a telling off for quoting trends earlier in the week but here goes again. DESERT ENCOUNTER 3/3 at the track (Windsor) won this race before and a winner on the card last year. Track, trip and underfoot conditions look ideal.

Goodwood - ground a concern for most runners, so expect the market to be dominated by "soft" proven beasts. Especially Century Dream

150 Pomelo - should win if handling conditions

225 Alemaratalyoum - bet boost if you can pronounce it

300 Celtic Art - only 4 runners, my dart falls here

335 Century Dream - more rain the better, and with this morning's news that Bentatl is out, will start a warm fav IMO

Nmkt

205 Summerghand - lost me plenty, and I wasn't on when he won last time, but surely he can win this......

Wind

240 Alounak - class horse, 2.5 lengths behind Fanny Logan in soft at Ascot, looks ok to me

315 Fox Chairman/Tinandali rfc

Good luck all <ok>

Roger Teal has only one out today, Windsor 12.35 Whenthedealinsdone, unraced 2yr old out
of Dark Angel so should have some speed, a little money coming in 10s in to 7s, Franny Norton
up top are all positives.

little ew chance and see what happens

Oh well, slow start, ran all over the gaff and ran on at the finish.

next time...

Heavy going at Goodwood then, but how bad does the ground ever get, up there on the chalky downs? Bad enough to cause a few upsets I suppose.
Hannon seems quite bullish about the chances of Urban Icon in the Celebration Mike. Plenty of reasons to take on the favourite imo, and it always paid to listen to Hannon’s dad when he was confident, so maybe he’s the one.

Edit; just seen Benbatl is out. Not sure if that makes the race more or less appealing for a punt. Very open race now
