Of course he missed deliberately. I just can't understand how people could support a geordie who lost a derby 5-1 to geordies. Baffling. Do you honestly think the mags would have had a mackem in charge and would happily tolerate if he managed to be so incompetent as to lose to us 5-1. I can't belive ppl still defend the fool

I'm not defending Bruce I'm calling you a fool

Finally, something we can all agree upon, mags and mackems alike.

I get a lot of what he's saying, I would never want a mackem in charge of my club, no matter how good his credentials. Obviously once he was in I would support him like any other manager. I just think he has read one too many of Cest's posts and the moronic Geordie quotes that are so consistent with the ones Cest comes out with have become etched into his brain.

100% in agreement. In fact I can't believe people are willing to forgive being humiliated by geordies. Bruce, Chopra, Lee Clarl, McMENEMY. How many more do you want before the 'happy clappers' realise , these people are Geordies, devious, sly, underhanded awful people. Please NOMOREGEORDIES FFSAKE!!!!!

You really are a dumb ****ing bell end aren't you?
I guess when god was handing brains out you were busy licking windows somewhere?

I'm not defending Bruce I'm calling you a fool

You sir are the fool wanting a geordie in charge and then defending the obese idiot as he lost 5-1 to Newcastle. I just don't get the newcastle loving sunderland supporters. Cheik has told the truth and stated he would not be happy with a mackem in charge of the mags. How many more mickey taking geordies are you prepared to put up with. Maybe we should appoint the incompetent Alan Shearer as manager and say 'oh it's not so bad hes wearing a newcastle shirt on the sideline?

You still doesn't get the fact that there is a critical difference between Geordie and Mag, in that a significant percentage of Geordies are probably more loyal to SAFC than you will ever be..

Just look at the way Bruce went on after gyan fluked that goal at your place. Can't tell me he didn't care about the job in hand. Regardless of the team he supports, those were his players out there, playing for him. He worked with them day in day out. That builds bonds. I don't buy into all this losing deliberately stuff. If anything I'd say it was his obsession of trying to put one over on us that led to his down fall in the derbies.

I don't get it you are right. Why would a geordie want to support Sunderland and why would a mackem want to support Newcastle. Take pride in where you are from not where you are not from. Maybe that's just old fashioned or outdated or something but thats what i think.

What about the thousands of people like myself from Durham and other such places?

You seem to be omitting the fact he actually declared himself to be a die hard mag some time ago in interviews, admitting he used to go to games as a kid and again spoke about his b&w allegiances when he became our manager?

I said at the time it would only raise its ugly head if he ****ed the derbies up? I'd say our biggest post war humiliation in his first attempt kinda sealed his fate. He was never going to allow his boyhood club to be beaten by the old enemy. Once a mag always a mag. Lee Clarke showed his true colours as well in the end.

That's why I don't want anymore b&w filth at my club either in a playing or managerial position and before the usual cak about Stokoe is paraded around again, can you ever have imagined him losing a derby 5-1 in such a humiliating fashion, OR more importantly wearing a t-shirt that said SMB on it? Andy Carroll, who unbelievably is fancied by some on here, would have one on as soon as he thought no one was looking and would rip the piss out of us in a flash?

FACT.

We lost 8-0 to West Ham in '68 and to Watford in '82 according to statistics.

I'd choose 5-1 to Newcastle over those two results any day.

I'm with Syd. No excuse for the hatred, born into it or otherwise. 'A man whose views at 50 are as they were at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.' Ali.

Disco, you like to disagree with me period and kiss Syds arse daily. You're opinion on most things is dismissed by me with consummate ease as its pathetically sheep like all the time.

And you always get the point don't you Syd? Mmmmmm?

Obviously I don't possess the massive intellectual prowess of Coxhoe man and bow to your superior being O Svengali of everything.

Oh Boy? Inflated ego's abound again in the south Durham area.

Like I said Cest, totally missed the point, again, BTW I dont need a massive intellect Cest, you make a fool of yourself all by yourself, I just point it out

All hail the mighty Syd for if hath spoken and let no man discuss.

You know you've such an inflated opinion of yourself on this board I don't know why its not just called Syd Says 606? You'd love that.

Perhaps you could enlighten up all again today with the weather in Coxhoe or how many times you dog has wagged his tail today or something else as equally riveting.

Embarrassing? You got the Gold.

If you want to embrace your inner child, can you do it in private. This would be welcome by all, I'm sure...

HE took the club nowhere and should have been sacked on the night of the humiliation, one of the worst feelings I ever had after a game. I do take your point that he was given a new contract after one of the worst runs in the club's history. Baffling. Bruce and Quinn were cuddling each other in the tunnel after a 2-2 home draw to west brom, that sums up their ambitions. Chopra missed an open goal deliberately and Lee Clark did play well for Sunderland, you are correct. However, his later actions proved what some of us have known all along Geordies are as devious as Keiran Fallon. There will be people on here who can't see that Geordies are basically taking the piss out of them. How come I just don't know. You are a mag Cheik therefore you love Bruce, I don't think he ever moved from his Newcastle home where he must have been the biggest hero on that estate and laughing his fat arse off.

And how do you know Chopra missed deliberately? you can think he did but you cant know?

All Geordies you say, how about the many who support Sunderland, we have many on this board?

If Bruce should have been sacked what about the players, what do we do with them?

You just don't get it do you?

There is a huge difference between someone born a geordie but who supports Sunderland and a geordie who is a b&w supporter playing for Sunderland.

The former is every bit as welcome and respected at the SOL as someone born in Hendon whilst the latter has repeatedly mugged us over, time after time, after time.

Mag loving and supporting players, managers whatever have stabbed us in the back when push comes to shove. How else do you explain Lawrie Mac? Came to us as the top manager in the country. Relegated us to the 3rd division. Clark was welcomed with open arms by up all. Ripped the piss by wearing a SMB t-shirt. Chopra scores for fun in big games but gets a chance against his heroes and can't score for the enemy in a derby? Bruces teams did well before and after Derby games but totally ****ed up in the derbies and led to our post war record defeat and lost at home last season again. Mon, with the exact same team, later went to the sports direct and barring a 94th min equalizer, would have beaten the craas?

All just coincidence? Like **** it is. Black and white loving geordies will always **** us over. Period.

No I don't get it, you're right. Why would a geordie support Sunderland or a mackem support Newcastle. Can you tell me any reason?

I may share some thoughts kidda but have to differ totally with your premise that a Geordie cant be a Sunderland fan? Why not?

There are people in Durham and surrounding areas that follow the filth as well. I used to sit next to some great lads at Roker who were from Whitley Bay and they were every inch fanatical Sunderland fans as any I've ever met.

Just as it is with the colour of a mans skin it doesn't define him as a person (its whats in his heart) then a mans birthplace doesn't define him but its whats in his heart that matters.

A lad born in Wallsend who wants to be a Sunderland fan is as welcome here for me as anyone and a lad born in Hendon that follows the mags isn't.

My points are that if you have black & white blood you cant play for or manage Sunderland (or vice versa) without that coming back to haunt you and effect the outcome at some point. No matter how professional you are, that link and heart tug cannot be broken.

It was in McMenemy, Chopra, Clarke and Bruce and it eventually came into play to our detriment with them all.

What about the thousands of people like myself from Durham and other such places?

Not really sure. Although Durham and Newcastle both received royal patronage whereas Sunderland didn't. So maybe people from Durham city should support Newcastle as they are firmly in the royalist camp.

Now this is about as daft a thing as I have ever read kidda? Stick to the plot or form your own sect. Lol

I agree with this. In Bruce's case I think that it was the pressure/chip on shoulder thing that did him - I'm sure he didn't do it deliberately.

In Clarke's case, he was an idiot.

In Bob Stokoe's case, he managed it fine. And before that gets dismissed it's worth remembering that he was the last manager who won us a decent trophy.
