Could well come down to wages, as after Blackburn either club, with actual people in the stands, would surely be attractive to the lad.

Said all along get him and thought with our injuries to our CBs we would have put a bid in during the January window. Always seemed a good player in the past and he is a leader which is what we are sadly lacking.
Was in Shields yesterday to get away from hearing anything about the game and ended up in a bar with the barcodes game on lots of barcodes and, about 2 minutes from full time a couple of them started having a pop at each other, had to have a little laugh then when our score was announced laughed a little louder.

Superb player, but if he goes up for grabs I reckon there'll be a lot more than us looking at him.
It is very much the fact that you rate him as a player, if Barton was to leave the mags, any one of their fans would say it left a massive hole, which would be borderline impossible to fill.
Any incoming player would see this i dare say.
