When has the CTWD campaign spoiled match enjoyment this season? A few of the teams have spoiled it this season but I can't recall any of the fans spoiling anything.
Actually, the antics of Assem Allam has pretty much ruined the whole season for me.
Just listen to the whole broadcast, without the timer and fast forward button.
These were fans talking, fans who aren't supposed to exist (according to some posters on here).

This is the think that gets me. Are some fans actually in favour of it because they think it is a better name? Do some fans think that it will generate more cash? Why? Or our some fans in favour of it because they believe Allam can do what he wants? If it is the third one I wonder where those fans would draw the line.
they will be labelled as WUMs or get labelled as thick because they don't agree with the emotive consensus.
It's a forum, you can post anything you, just try and back up your argument.
'Allam says so' is a really weak reason to be in favour of a name change and it's all anybody is managing to come up with.

*I* do not need a "pro-case". Dr Allam has that covered. All I need to do is trust him and support him. He knows what he's doing.
To become self sustaining, something radical needs to happen in the absence of a Billionaire coming in and just giving us a huge wedge.
The "anti-case's" need an actual plan, and demonstration of their ability to deliver a massive boost in funds. Neither Dr Allam nor me has to do anything to prove to you bugger all. Although I'm flattered you think I'm that close to the centre of this and that I need a plan. The onus is entirely on the protesters.
It's not a popularity contest. It's not a democratically run organisation where anyone with a passing link to it has a say in how its run. You might own "emotional" shares in the club but meanwhile, in the real world, the club needs real actual hard cash to sustain itself and to continue to improve as we've done over the last couple of years. I want to see us in the top 6. I want European football for us. I know how that would make my family both past and present happy beyond words. We are capable of that as never before, thanks to the vision and acumen of Dr Allam.
As we become more successful on the pitch, we'll attract more and better financial benefits plus more "fans", but to get to that stage needs more than just talking ****e on an internet forum and campaigning against the man trying to do that for the club and relying as stated above, on emotional bullshit and ironically given their slurs that Dr Allam doesn't have a plan, without having a plan, with backers of their own.

How the hell can you say it is a minority when over 15000 have signed the online petition. it is supporters like Sally and her family that are the club not deluded old twats like Allam who think their word is god just because they put their money in. He says that the club is his gift to the community and then slaps the community in the face by proposing changing the clubs historical name to something that sounds like an American Football Franchise.

I would say it would be more the fact that he is Egyptian that he can't understand the emotional bullshit as YOU call it.
Its not difficult. Sally has an emotion attachment to Hull City which spans four generations. Sally is not alone but represents the views of many fans. I don't see why her view is less worthy of consideration than Lord Prescott's who would appear to prefer watching Hull KR to Hull City.

If he's gambling on a huge windfall from Asia because he thinks they don't know the difference between Hull Tigers and The Tigers then he may end up in the same boat as Bartlett. The accounts from Allamhouse and Allam Marine will tell us whether he can afford it or not. In the meantime we have added another £20 million to the debt.

Posted this on another thread but as some of you are claiming not to see any non-emotive arguments against the change I thought I'd put it again;
The thing about the argument that it will make money is that it is pretty much impossible to monetise any support in the far east. Increased shirt sales? No because all the football shirts they wear out there are fake. Increased TV audience? Money is paid to the Premier League as a whole and split up so we would see little difference. Ticket sales? Very unlikely that many people from over there will ever come to England, never mind Hull, and we have pretty much full capacity most games anyway.
The people there are - in real terms compared to the UK - extremely poor. The Chinese maintaining the Yuan at a rate much lower than it should be against the pound sterling means that normal people can't afford our exports, including to support a football team financially.
So never mind the argument that it is wrong due to tradition, or the fact that these people won't support us until we're successful. Support there will not equate to money here.
