I think with a greater dose of confidence he can still spring the surprise free kick, but at present I think that most PL clubs have worked him out. I really hope I'm absolutely wrong!!
Interesting idea, not sure we'd put up with him for long a la Stoke style, but we do need a brain like his who can sort out the defensive shambles. It's pretty obvious we're not getting any more players (ie a decent striker), in until January but the board must be wondering would that alone make a real difference, bearing in mind what's not happening in the other two thirds of the pitch.
Jesus lads. We don’t need to be talking about allardyce, Sean dyche and pulis etc. We are in the biggest league in the world. There are many quality young managers across Europe/South America that could come in and do a job for us. This is why our scouts get paid the big bucks
Well that was ****ing awful. 1st half was exactly where we left off with villa. Slow, ponderous football. No one seemed to really care, felt like a friendly. Why the **** Ralph wants the keeper to take a goal kick by passing it to a defender, who passes it to another defender before passing it back to the keeper who just boots it upfield anyway is beyond me. It gives the opposition defence all the time in the world to organise. Its maddening. He needs sacking Monday And 1.5 hours to get out of the car park in ocean Village with a whiny 5 year old really was the icing on the cake. (Probably the only part of today which was not Ralph's fault)
Kids are in a 3 day tournament so I haven’t watched the game but got a sinking feeling when I saw the score. Wolves, Villa, and now Everton with 0 points. It’s not working. There’s been time and players available…
I did not expect Saint to get anything today to be honest. What was disappointing was the manner in which we lost and, in my opinion, deservedly so. The starting line up was a kamikaze selection with untried players and players chosen to play out of position. There were so many negatives today that it is difficult to know where to start. I was not impressed by any of the debutants. The whole first half preformance was a repetition of the Leeds performance. Maitland-Niles looks like a firige player at best and I cannot understand why we signed him. Mara was largely absent and the young full back from Man City was thrown in when he was not ready. It would be difficult for me to single out who our best player was today. The introduction of the substitutes markedly improved the performance and I think Perraud needs to be an automatic name on the team sheet. With regard to other member of the squad, I am afraid to say JWP looked a shadow of his former self. If he does not produce anything from corners or free kicks, on recent performances there would be no need to select him. Southgate is totally correct to leave him out of the England squad for Qatar and he seems totally out of form. There has been a lot of criticism of Nathan Redmond yet today's match showed just how much we missed him as well as Romeu - probably the biggest miss this season. The obvious failure is the lack of a goalscorer. Adam Armstrong works hard yet I cannot see him getting many goals. The defence looked like it had tightened up yet today it showed how unfamiliar the four defenders were with each other. I have to say that I am convinced this performance was the nail in the coffin for Ralph. This is his own team and he no longer has any excuses. The cut and thrust associated with his pressing style of play when he forst became manager is a long way from where we are no with everyone being played out of position and youngsters being rush in before they are ready. We have the basis of an excellent squad and granted Livramentio and Lavia are absent, this team should be performing better. Too many players are below form. I do not imagine for one minute Sports Republic will be happy given how lucklustre the performances have been on the pitch despite the changes. I am not sure who we would bring in yet I cannot think of a good reason to retain Ralph. Bolted on to the 9 losses in 12 games at the end of last season, this bery much seems like starting where he left off. The coaching staff has been replaced yet it has exacerbated the problems with players not performing their natural roles. I think we will have a new manager in for the West Ham match.
Using your figures from last season and now this, 14 in 20 lost, you do the maths. But really not sure who is available, ready and is proven?
I know it, you know it. I was simply attempting to make myself seem more fair and balanced towards the bloke. I also blame him for; The ice cream machine being off at McDonald's The dog chewing my credit card. The Nepalese flag not being flag shaped. Basically everything that has annoyed me today
