To be fair to Adam Armstrong Che Adams didn't look up to this level either in his first season with us.
Agreed and don't want to have a downer on him, but Che has a real physical advantage, a real bull of a player that will scare weak defenders

Thought the BBC commentary was good tonight too.. they were really full of praise for Ralph's tactical ability.. despite the 9 changes we snuffed out west ham and kept rice quiet, and they couldn't get enough of our full backs, not once did they try and sell JWP but did have him down as an England regular.. kind of get the feeling we are turning into everyones second favourite team .

In my defence once I had calmed down a bit I did say if we kept it tight and Ralph was pro-active with his subs it might work. Well, Ralph used his bench to perfection tonight.
Eat double portion of humble pie, triple actually, you had loads of posts

Well that was nerve wracking. More than happy to be proved wrong - by Valery especially who was excellent.

I reserve my right to have a whinge when we see Theo in the line up for the quarters though <laugh>

Everton, Boro or Hudders away please.
Do you think we will see Theo in a Saints shirt again? He’s so far down the pecking order.

It's an intriguing line up for sure, we have a good squad with some great back up players with points to prove, can still see us getting something from this.

It's gonna be hilarious watching some of you claim that Ralph is a genius when we enevitably beat Wet Spam!

I have a sneaky feeling that this could be decided by Willy penetrating the box late on! :emoticon-0136-giggl

Apart from the joke about Willy, who had a good game btw, pretty happy with my comments.

Some good performances there, Perraud as always is quality, Valery and Stephens had great games, Smallbone was very good in the middle and Armstrong put in a great shift.

Agree with Keown that Perraud was MOTM, that goal was sublime but his overall performance was very good.

Our B team is better than West Hams A team.
Ralph is a genius!
Kunt Zouma is a ****(apologies if this offends but he really is)!
We will finish higher than WH this season!

On a personal note, glad I backed us after Spurs going out last night at 20-1.

Anyone but Liverpool in the QF please

Ralph got it right.
There were some good individual performances in a very good team performance and it was probably right to leave AA on for the whole game, rather than sub him off and undermine his confidence further.
But, if we draw City in the next round and he picks that team again, I reserve the right to throw my toys it of the pram, before admitting that he got it right again.

I'll take Kidderminster thanks.

We've certainly become more streetwise this season with delaying the game and buying cheap free kicks.

You have to imagine that the respective performances of Smallbone and Djenepo means that the latter is pretty much finished here
