Just realised; for the last 3x PL home games, BHA, NF & AV I’ve said I’d be happy with a draw; something to build on. We all know what happened there. CP & MC, wasn’t really concerned about the result, just wanted a performance. Said already for tonight’s game, can’t win it in the first leg but can definitely lose it & I’d be ok with a draw! <doh> Change that please to just a performance! Thank you.

For the sake of those who have bought tickets for the 2nd leg if nothing else, let's at least still be in the tie at FT tonight. A win would be good, a draw ok and a one goal loss wouldn't be a disaster but would give us a very large hill to climb next week. A 2 goal or more loss and we're ****ed.

Agree - if we`d drawn those games, the whole atmosphere around the club would be different.

There's some value in the betting market for this if you think we'll win.

We're more than 4/1 to win and Newcastle are odds on to score at least twice.

Newcastle have really learned how to stifle games in the last 6 months or so and Howe looks like he used the World Cup break excellently.

Having tall players across the park with some flair players around them reminds me of the old school 1-0 to the Arsenal approach in the pre-Wenger years. I enjoy their unconventional asymmetric full backs shifting around and changing the teams shape in and out of position. Dan Burn being the least likely high quality full back of the year.

Hopefully we can frustrate them, but I expect Newcastle would also happily take us back to their place level!

Looking forward to a cup semi final, COYS.

5.9 (or 4.9/1 if you prefer) on Betfair.

And you can get 43/1 against Caleta-Car to score at any time. Which I consider to be insane.

Think we've got a light show tonight. Just parked up in Northam and could see people on the roof

Now off to town for a pint n some grub.
