This is pretty much the same story as Ramirez. Cagliari can probably wait 2-3 weeks. What do they have to lose except having one of their best players around a little longer? On the other hand, Cortese knows Cagliari has to sell so there's no reason for him to meet their demands so long as he has the high bid.
So this will probably drag on until the deadline or until it becomes clear to Cagliari that no one is going to match their offer from Saints.
