This is pretty much the same story as Ramirez. Cagliari can probably wait 2-3 weeks. What do they have to lose except having one of their best players around a little longer? On the other hand, Cortese knows Cagliari has to sell so there's no reason for him to meet their demands so long as he has the high bid.

So this will probably drag on until the deadline or until it becomes clear to Cagliari that no one is going to match their offer from Saints.

 

I've got high hopes for this transfer, because as far as I have heard so far, he is the only horse in town when it comes to CBs at the moment. The thought of relying on Jos for the whole of Jan quite frankly terrifies me.

AC Milan's buy-back clause actually makes me think he is less likely to end up back there bizzarely.
