He has a horrible attitude on and off the pitch. That's why he never blossomed. He's like a lesser Balotelli. Every once in a while they let him off the bench and he has a spectacular game. Then the next game, he refuses to pass or he shows up late for training or something and it's back to the bench.

If this is common knowledge (dodgy attitude) then I would be surprised if we are in for him. Know nothing of his ability, can't remember him at Brum, but asides from the past issue with Puncheon I can't think of a difficult character that we've had for some time.

Zarate was brilliant for Birmingham, and had been for Lazio when I'd seen him which admittedly isn't this season. Someone, may have been Beefy, pointed out how he's been cack lately hence they're trying to shift him.

Yep and a utter knob, unless his attitude suddenly changes then I don't want him any where near our club.

Maybe we could put him on the same medication that calmed Punch down.

Though I've heard it has some iffy side effects, in the pants dept.

Is it just me that's pretty much content with our squad as it is now?

I'm pretty happy with it. I wouldn't complain if a quality new player came in, but right now it seems like we've got at least two good players for every position.

I'm happy with our team as it stands and wouldn't be too worried if we didn't sign anyone else before the summer. The only problem may be the tiring effect of the attacking style favoured by Poch...we need a quality bench to provide fresh legs later in the second half.

Well. I'm content with it for survival, but we all know Nicola wants more than that. If survival is all he wants for this season, then I'd still like to see a winger in, but happy other than that. If he wants to go above 15th-ish, then we need more.

No, i agree with you - all the rumour about this player and that player, but i am quite content for Saints to see this season out with our existing squad as they are good enough to stay up.

Need a tad more in our team

ST - Rickie is obviously great and Rodriguez is good enough back up and bringing in another striker would slow his progress as well seeming as he is young
RW - Puncheon is great but no real back up.
LW - Lallana and guly is fine
CF - Gaston is great and other players can fill that position
CM - Schneiderlin and Cork are great and Davis is great backup plus dont want to make it impossible for JWP to get in the team
LB - Shaw is immense and Fox is good enough
CB - Is ok now Forren is here, would be unfair on Fonte and Yoshida if we brought in another CB
RB - Clyne will only get better and Richardson is a good player
GK - Boruc is in great form

So yea another winger would be good, but not essential

Yeah I'm pretty content. I do feel we could do with some more wide cover though.

Boruc/Kelvin/Paulo - yeah that's fine for now
Clyne/Richardson/Maya - fine
Fonte/Forren/Maya/Hooiveld - happy with that
Shaw/Fox/Forren - happy
Davis/Cork/Schneiderlin/Gaston/Ward-Prowse/Chaplow - very happy
Lallana/Puncheon/Do Prado/De Ridder - a little concern here
Lambert/Rodriguez/Mayuka/Lee - That's good for now

I'm expecting that the summer will be when serious purchasing is done...Poch will have had time to assess the team, can use preseason to bed them in, and Nicola will be assured of greater income from an assured PL place (yes, I am confident).

I would like to see at least one player brought in. The squad is a little lacking in depth, as has been noted. I also feel that as the goal is to continue to improve, we should try to bring in a couple of players every window rather than trying to bring in four or five in the summer.

I think we had to, we could get by with what we have though it would be cutting it close. So I would hope we don't make any desperation signings and follow a steady plan of improvement where every player we bring in is better than someone in the starting XI, with room to improve.

On the other hand, I feel that given NC's goals and his meticulous hard-working style that he would have had targets lined up was expecting at least 2-3 impact signings. So if we don't bring in anyone else, it will be a disappointment to him and I think he would view this transfer window as having been a bit of a failure.

Content with the squad? Yes. You can always improve on what you have though. If there is a player who MP and NC think would be a good addition at the right price then sign him up. If that means bringing in 2/3 lads as long as they want to be a part of something special by all means!

Our be bench has been seriously weak over the last few games. I know we have some injured players out, but I still think we need to strengthen. I would be happy with another winger, midfielder and defender.

No one will like this, but I'd take Butland if he's available on the cheap.
