Just back from Central London. Managed to get the best part of half an hour chatting one-on-one to José and Ryan.

Lots of interesting stuff covered (business, Saints and Euro 2016), and as and when it goes out there (papers, websites etc.), I'll make sure to flag it up.

Suggested wages for every Saints player...quite a disparity in some cases. How can you survive on only 10K/wk<laugh> Of course this is pretax....so our share via their tax bill must be tasty. I suppose the disparity can be used to encourage signing a new contract for players we want to keep.

Talking of which....I saw a blog yesterday suggesting 5 players we should shed in the summer: SKD, Stek (who remember is a loanee anyway), Wanyama, Mane and Long. The blogger didn't list what drugs he was on at the time.

Actually Fran, no unreasonable disparity in there. Even if the numbers aren't accurate but the breaks/differences are, then that's fairly tight wage span. I would have expected wider gaps.

Amen, it's very good.

Bertrand and Fonte were very apologetic last night and apologised to me personally for making me wait for the interview because they were late on the way from the hospital to the event.

I said it was absolutely fine - especially considering what they were doing at the hospital - but they apologised again.

I confessed to being a Saints fan and Ryan (and Jose) both said they'd sort me out with tickets to England v Portugal to say thanks, but to also apologise for their lateness.

I'd spoken to José before but Ryan is a really good, grounded chap.

Now to transcribe what they said to me!

Sod that, just tell us they're never ever leaving Saints* because they love us soooooooo much!
