100% renew for me, he’s arguably pretty much saved our season in many ways. The club just actually needs to view it for what it is though and regardless of the league we’re in we need to have 2 more strikers in the same mould as him, all competing for the CF position, due to his injuries. If Ross even managed to stay fit for one season alone, he’d score a silly amount of goals - he’s clearly a hell of an asset at championship level, even if only off the bench & honestly think he could do decent enough in Prem too. Just hopefully we don’t over use him and he can get stronger towards the end of this season and push on next

He's clearly a good player when fit but I'd give it a bit more time before doing anything definite. I don't think he's stayed fit for us for more than about 2 months in one go has he?

I also wonder whether you could do something a bit creative with his contract. Not pay as you play exactly but try and pay for results somehow. Maybe a lower wage with generous appearance and goal bonuses or make his wages increase the more he's fit and available for selection. No idea whether he'd go for it but the club's treated him quite well so far.

I do hear that as a sensible contract option for sure. Just think imagine we don’t give him a new contract and he signs for someone else, doesn’t get injured and tears the league a new one… we’d be devastated!

Given his injury issues and lack of game time I don't think the queue (right now) for his signature would be long but if he has a good tail end of the season that picture would change as he gives the impression of solid professional, keeps his head down and works, tries to gee up the team and actually when fit is a decent player.

I'd have no issue with a contract extension provided he's fit enough but it doesn't deny the fact that is a position we are so inadequate in at the moment and needs resolving regardless of his we extend or not with Stewart.

Here's a cracking interview with Psycho Dennis in a Shirley cafe 7 years ago. Some brilliant stories from back in the day and he clearly loves the club and the city...

I didn't realise just how passionate Psycho was as a Saints fan. He has recently been doing some entertaining content on the social media apps.

So we're below all the teams we've spent less time in it than and above all the teams we've spent more time in it than.
