Having played last night, they didn't do a good job on Les reed --- who's a woman. And hot.

Another thing, in the story mode, it's not much of a spoiler to say the main character tried to force a move to real madrid. If you chose southampton to play for originally, straight after handing in a transfer request Virgil walks past in the changing room, gives you the dirtiest look and then walks off shaking his head in disgust at you trying to leave <laugh>

Hardest I've laughed in a long time.

Can you still do the cheat in story mode where you can make the main character about 1000 times better than everyone else? I played through it once normally last year then made him a complete beast to see if the story changed at all, it didn't unfortunately. Was still sent out on loan after scoring 20 in 4 games or something stupid.

I don't know but it carries over your stats and save data from last year. the main part of the story still doesnt seem to change that much from the couple of acts ive played. couldnt see a way of not going all Virgil in wanting a move away from Southampton.
 
I find "fantasy football" a distraction and ignore it as much as I can. It tends to corrupt the minds of some posters who can't grasp reality after being embroiled in these kind of games. Just the thoughts of a grumpy old neanderthal who is rubbish at computer games! :emoticon-0181-fubar

Is that really true.? There is a game scenario with an intro where VVD walks past an unsettled player and gives a look of disapproval.?
If so, that needs to be recorded and uploaded to Youtube. ;)
 
If I remember correctly, Dick Advocaat was a proper prat when Virgil was acting up, and he advised/suggested he should leave.
I'd be tempted to pull him out with a petty injury. See how that sits with the powers that be.
Bitter, yeah a bit.
 
Its still a difficult one. He is an asset with a large monetary value that has to be handled correctly. But in doing so we actually are standing in the way of two key players who we want to be involved in the seasons to come. If we have enough points on the board & have solved our scoring problems, I'd sell him in Jan for £75M & start erasing him form our records His comments today once again highlight his lack of respect.

Quite happy to get rid in January (esp for £75m) but drop him out of the first team squad immediately and let him keep fit in the U23s
