Really glad to hear him say this, I think with a full preseason behind him, he could be great for us. Not surprised he is liking the countryside, he and his wife are currently renting in Shawford, which is a beautiful little village just outside of Winchester.
https://www.clubcall.com/manchester-city/saints-could-move-for-pellegrini-1807706.html Suggestion that Saints may be interested in Pellegrini should Koeman leave next season. They are right in the sense that we will have a list of possible replacements, but getting a bit ahead of themselves here. Koeman says he won't be leaving until his contract is over....I trust him, but it is always possible that Saints themselves may like to sign a good manager who becomes available in order to ensure stability. My point being that things happen and nothing is certain in life. However, the one thing I am certain about is that we are in safe hands. P.s. I like the fact that they refer to Koeman joining a 'so-called bigger club'..........I like the idea that it is now questionable that a club is bigger than us.
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...lification-for-premier-league-teams-explained This explains how 8th place could still get us to Europe. Unfortunately it means we have to cheer on Liverpool and Man Utd....
Well, Manure are favourites for the cup and the Scousers are very good at winning European trophies, so I'd say we have more than half a chance....
Not bothered about Europe. If we sneak in from 8th position, that means 3 qualifying rounds, right? Not worth it. Let's just have a solid pre-season with lots of high-jinx, camaraderie, and the odd Swiss Alp thrown in for good measure.
A large number of players will be playing in the Euros as well so won't really have a proper break over the summer. I agree with Black that 3 extra matches at the beginning of the season isn't the best; let's concentrate on the Premier League, increase the squad and have fun!

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/14447150.Long_s_Southampton_learning_curve/?ref=mac Shane talking about how hard it was to get in the team when others were playing well and how much he has learnt from being at Saints. Now wants to keep hold of his place.
Saints Forwards (according to the BBC) 7 Long 9 Rodriguez 19 Pellè 20 Juanmi 28 Austin Olomola (who is this man?)
Should be universally remembered with fondness. But some supporters placed too much emphasis on the manner of his leaving to manage in the North, where he achieved very little, as if that is still a stick to beat him with. He left Saints because he'd been the most ambitious person at the club for years and was finally fed up with having to make do with the crumbs of back up he received from the board. Who else could possibly assemble this squad on a shoestring? please log in to view this image Look at the quality players in there! It's like a who's who list in British football.
