Valery has posted this on instagram - I think is a huge moment in his career. If he doesn't get his head down and work hard he could well just end up sat on the bench watching KWP (hopefully) make the RB spot his own. We all had high hopes for Valery and he did look good when he first emerged, lets hope he can get back to that this season and at least give Ralph some tough decisions to make.
He is still very young and inexperienced, I think some fans expect too much of the young lads coming through, there has to be a balance.
Despite most fans opinion of him, still think theres a good player there. One to persevere with, still only 20 let's not forget.
It’s not his fault if he was thrown in the deep end too soon, due to Cedric being dog turd. He’s got time to come good if we get a better starting option like KWP.
We have seen both good and bad - likely due to experience and off the field issues that we still don't know the truth of. We will sign a RB anyway but it would be great to have two young and improving players fighting it out.
I’m not 100% sure RB is his best position.... he’s leggy and athletic.... can see him as a Redmond type winger.... he’s certainly got a shot on him....
It is his fault. The moment he smacked that Worldie at Old Trafford, we thought a star was born. he should have skyed it!!
Aside from the date for the start of the next season do we have any dates for the calendar such as the start of pre-season or friendlies?
I’m not sure of a date but to the surprise of nobody there will be no overseas training camp travel (confirmed by RH). All of pre season at Staplewood. I’d imagine that extends to friendlies too.
Old story, but I missed it and didn't see it mentioned here so I thought I'd post it for anyone else who missed it Welling up https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2020-04-30/virgin-media-southampton-fc-super-sight
