Is that the international game against Scotland, where he tore Willie Donachie a new arsehole?
Ripped him to shreds, from what I remember.

He had also said the best thing to come out of Scotland was the road to England which didn't endear him to the Scotland supporters. He actually pinched the comment from Dr Johnson (An earlier man with that surname but one who had a brain).

Anyone know where the story that Che Adams is up for sale at half price come from?
Both Leeds and Forest apparently very interested in the £10m striker

Southampton's English striker Che Adams is set to be made available in the summer for £10m or less - despite Championship side Leeds Unitedagreeing a £19m fee for the 23-year-old in January before changing their mind. (Football Insider)

Frightening bit of business IF true! Would much rather keep him and work with him to improve rather than give him away unless we have another better striker in our sites who we can get for £10m but doubt it somehow

If it is the usual sell to buy situation we generally do then it might be that he is one of the players we can get something for, who we are open to moving on. We haven’t got anyone who is going to go for big money so if Ralph wants to raise some cash he might have to sell a couple he doesn’t really want to to strengthen other areas.

Yes but if we sell Adams we would have to get another striker anyway. And we'd have to pay more than 10mill for anyone half decent. I'd rather give him more time.

Agree 100%. He has shown flashes of brilliance and is slowly moving towards being a Premier League player. I’d say the only thing lacking is goals, but we are scoring plenty anyway. If we sold him, we would have to pay way over the odds for a player already PL proficient, or do the same again and wait for a lower league or foreign league player to step up.

I agree, but if we are operating in the sell to buy model it may be that we have identified other areas of the team which are more urgent and Adams is expendable. It would leave us short up front (unless we signed some kind of replacement), but we may see it as the best case scenario if we can strengthen another area

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere - but what do we all make of Hojbjerg's comments that he wants to play at a higher level than where we are now and that he wants to win the premier league and champions league (sho doesn't?!)

My response would be along the lines of...

Whilst it is clear he should be playing for a club that isn't fighting relegation, he is not once looked good enough to play for a club competing for those trophies - if he had we might not be fighting relegation!

Saints are striving to be a top half club that contend for that final European spot, and with Hassenhuttl I think we will get there soon. I'd say Hojbjerg is at about that level - think Everton/Wolves not Man City/Liverpool.
