That would require a change in the law for weekend games to be shown on TV if they all kicked off then. They were never going to not spread the games as far across the weekend as they can. It wouldn't surprise me to see Sunday become the standard PL day at some point though so they can show them all. My biggest annoyance with them recently is the staggering of the Boxing Day games that's robbed us of having one for two of the past three years.
Just seen an interview with Angus Gunn talking about the call from Southgate to call him in for England training....He said, Gareth here. Angus said, Gareth who?
True story. In the late 80s my dad used to play golf with Geoff Boycott and got to know him quite well. My dad is Indian, and on one tour of India, Geoff was commentating and stayed with my Dad's (well i suppose mine too!) family. Anyway, he needed to speak to my dad to arrange something and called the house. My mum answered (she hated cricket and knew nothing about it) and the guy on the end of the phone asked for my dad, she said who's calling he replied in a Yorkshire accent "Tell him it's Geoff" "Oh, Geoff who?" He never let my dad live that down.
Yep my dad lost touch with him probably about 15-20 years ago. Always said he was an arrogant opinionated guy though and wasn’t surprised by the news that comes about about him.
Right up until my last look at Murdoch's dealings, he had still owned about 39% of BSkyB, which owned Sky Sports. But I've just waded into the murky Murdoch world and it does indeed appear that Sky has been sold to Comcast in America. But I still can't pin down if the Murdoch family doesn't own a small bit or not. I know they own Fox Corp, that's for sure, so are big Trump supporters. Or big supporters while it suits them. But that's another story. Did you know that Rupert Murdoch's ex-missus dates Vladimir Putin? It's certainly not what you know, but who you know, at the top of the pile.

Just done some snooping and it looks like they really love him over there. Oh, and Bradley Wright-Phillips has gone vegan.
Sold a lot of their smaller market shares eg NZ. Seems they're in the too big to fail basket still but getting pushed closer and closer to the edge. Rugby rights are everything here, the only thing that keeps Sky going.
Seems Wesley really, really, really regrets leaving the lower reaches of Lazio's squad for a big paycheck. Regrets it so much he is resigned to just sitting out his contract here rather than, you know, moving on for a pay cut and being worthwhile somewhere else. This guy seems to confirm he is an utter twat every time he opens his mouth http://sportwitness.co.uk/i-made-mistake-defender-reveals-southampton-regret/
Yeah, one of the biggest tossers we have ever signed. Would love to know why Ralph bombed him out so quick. All down to his stinking attitude I'd guess.
The fact he gave a chance to everyone, literally everyone (even Gabbi got some brief minutes under Ralph ffs) but Hoedt says it all.
