I know we have discussed this before but we just don't seem to get any joy on TV at the moment. Birmingham, Pompey, Reading etc. It's not as if we haven't played well in these games but ..............

I can't put my finger on why. Let's just hope we can do the business next Saturday on Sky at Boro.

It really is a curse. From a win against Burnley in '07 I don't think we won a league game until the win vs. Sheff wed in 2011...since then wins against Leeds are the only ones that come to mind.

I don't think it's being on TV...I just think our delicate flowers play better at 3.00 on a Saturday and 7.45 on a Tuesday (please God). I especially don't like playing later or earlier than the rest of the league...don't think all these televised games have done us any good. I honestly think we would have had just a few more points if a couple of games had been at the right time. No idea why unless it disturbs their rest/eating patterns. Or perhaps it ups the ante for the other team. No idea really...is it to early for a drink?

Oh great. Didn't realise we had another game on Sky...:emoticon-0106-cryin

So that rules that one out then ;) So we need to beat the other Boro and Coventry then to see us over the line.

I can tell you why we didn't win at St Andrews because the conditions were awful and really I think a point was a great result there.

17.30 hrs is generally accepted as a reasonable time to take a first tipple. Remember it's always that time somewhere in the world. Enjoy

Unless we're already promoted by the Coventry game - and there's every chance that we wont be - you can bet your bottom dollar that Sky will select the Coventry game for TV.

They may have already chosen which game to show that day, but I'm assuming thye haven't and they'll be waiting another week or so to make a decision.

I expect they will be running both games and switching between ourselves and West Ham if that is the case.

Come on people, aren't we above this stupid superstition?

I missed Lambert's goal yesterday because I went to the toilet. So maybe if I spend all our games locked in the bathroom, we'll win them all

This is why I don't drink before a game. Once I am in my seat I don't leave until the end. Well, I like to get my money's worth.:)

This is an interesting discussion - it sure feels like being on tv is a curse! I still have fond memories of beating Leeds on the opening day, and since then every time I've settled down to watch the team I may as well have not bothered. I even came home in January and went to the Leicester game (oh dear).. While we're obviously a good side our tv appearances appear to show us as self-destructive...<wah>

Sky games have gone against us all season, therefore by the law of probability we are due to win one.. Chin up chaps and chapettes
