It makes sense that it would be below average though, as Sky are likely to show only our more difficult games.
Dunno about from 2005 but from this season so far: Pld 9 Won 2 Drawn 4 Lost 3 The home game against Brum should have been on TV but was changed for their European adventure, so can I count that as another win?!
We're a supersticious lot! Personally, I tend to cross my fingers at critical points (ie in either pen box), if we are shooting from right to left, I cross the fingers on my right hand and if shooting from left to right, I cross the fingers on my left hand. Not that it works.........
I dont get the whole tv is a curse thing, tv this season we have won as many as we have lost plus drawn at fratton park, and birmingham, 2 tough places to go to!!! We have beaten leeds at home (fantastic performance) and leeds away (lucky win). Also brum away was a joke re conditions (still drew) and reading was a great performace barring the 3 lapses and great saves by federici (however you spell it). The only poor show was blackpool away. (also a tough place to go ). I honestly think alot of negetivity is in peoples heads and we make something out of nothing. Lets remain positive, things could look so much rosier tomorrow. peterborough away are shipping goals, w ham going to brizzle, tough place to go!! COYR
If at the stadium I always lift my feet if there is a goalscoring opportunity, it stops the opposition scoring but increases our chances. Of course it doesn't work, otherwise we'd have won the Champions League before now, but human beings are superstitious. I once walked to the Dell with someone who would only cross between a red and white car..that was a long walk!
We may have only lost 3 games and drawn 4, out of 9 televised but that means we have dropped 17 points out of 27. We were very lucky at Birmingham, Reading and Leeds as they could easily have been defeats. A number of people who are not Saints fans but have seen us play on TV, 'how can you lot be on top as you're not very good'.
This happened to me also was just walking up the steps and heard the roar gutted! I managed to see all of Readings I should of just stayed down there
With my bladder I go before the game starts, half way through the first half, at half time, half way through the second half and before I leave the stadium and go home.I am going to see if we can get seats at the end of the row next season as I am fed up with all the unkind remarks from the people around and behind me. Perhaps I should take with me one of those plastic bottle things they have in hospitals for us blokes.
Because we have got more points than them thats why. Plus, I dont really care what other teams think of us, We all think Wet Spam play hoofball!!! I bet they dont care about that. Relax, we will be fine!!!!! COYR
Yes I think we will, but my point is, is that we have played some really good stuff this season, are 2nd on merit, but the general public don't realise that as we don't seem to perform so well when on the box.
Fortunately I have never been supersticious so none of these "should I go to the toilet, wear my lucky pants, kick the cat" bollocks ever affects me and, touch wood, none ever will
