Can we get it across the line and make Saturday's game a full-on open-top bus celebration??

I don't think we'll have enough to beat them but expect a hell of a game.

2-2

COYB!!!

Using the results against Coventry (and the Norwich game more recently) as my logic, I'm oddly more confident about this game than West Brom. Or QPR for that matter.
3 points and we're on the line. And barring a record smashing goal difference swing we shall be premier League again (for good or evil) I think that will drive us to a 2-1 victory.

I don’t think this will be a game for the neutrals. These are two mentally and physically tired teams who have been playing two/three games a week for the past month.

Southampton arguably have more riding on it, in that this is a must win if they want a chance at the automatic spot. Both clubs probably have the strongest and deepest squads, on paper, in the division - so I’d expect a little bit of rotation.

I’m sure McKenna will probably just go for it and hope to catch Southampton cold after their defeat to Man City. But our starting eleven will speak volumes. Do we play the strongest eleven possible and play for the win? We could risk more fatigue and injury if we lose or draw, affecting our chances on the weekend. Alternatively, resting key players and not getting the win puts all the pressure on us on Saturday. I don’t begrudge McKenna the choice!

I predict a 1-1 draw.

As for the Predictions League table, it’s pretty much as we were, with only Gaffer and Stretchy in the top two correctly predicting a draw.

With two games left, Stretchy is the only one who can beat Gaffer’s ten point lead at the top. Basically, he’s got to predict a different result to Gaffer each time and get the score perfect both times to win the crown. Otherwise, Gaffer can break out the Champion bunting.

Tough game to predict for all the reasons others have said. KM will freshen the team up with 3-4 changes.

I will go for a draw too.

1-1

Stretchy?

Hmm, I’ve been on the free hit bandwagon and think we may lose this one. 2-0 Southampton but really hope I am wrong.

So, its hold on to your seats and enjoy the ride time. Do we go all out tonight with our strongest team, whatever that might be, or play safe, not risk injuries and keep key players fresh for Saturday?

If I was the town manager, I'd go all out attack and try and surprise soton.
But, knowing KmC and his one dimensional style of play, that won't happen. He'll just try to stifle them and try and catch them on the break.

Saints will go for it as a point is no good. They are on a relentless run, beat Arsenal and have a popular manager. If we go gungho and actually put our chances away, it will be one helluva game!

Do you honestly think KmC has it in him to go gung ho? And in all honesty, I don't think we have the players for that. We are very methodical in our approach, which is why, other than Sheff utd, we haven't really put anyone to the sword.

We all know it,s either a Saints win or a draw, as we all need another stressful game on Saturday.

However I will predict a 2 1 win for us.
Haha surely this team won't put us out of our misery tonight so we can have a stress free saturday? It would go against type all season

I am sure you are right Stretchy, but it would be much more entertaining!

It's a real conundrum isn't it?Two games one win required. The first away against a very strong side the second at home to supposedly easier opponents.IF we win tonight Saturday just becomes a celebration which I'm sure KMc would love to give to the fans but I don't see him as a gambling man and may therefore play it safe??It'll be fascinating to see how it plays out but either way it's all in our hands regardless.

But what is playing it safe? A draw doesnt help neither side, other than removing Southampton from the equation on Saturday, and you'd "expect" Millwall to win
As BigAl says...its a tricky conundrum.
I think if Southampton go one up in the first half, then I can't see us coming back.
If, though, we hold out for an hour or so, i can see us nicking it late (but not quite Sarmiento territory)

By "safe" I'd expect heavy rotation saving our best players for Saturday.
