0-0....good battling performance from a young Saints side. I don't know how old the Chelsea lads were because they do loan out their best players at this age group, but they seemed physically stronger

Alfie Jones was excellent, won almost everything in the box and Gazzaniga had nothing more than routine saves to make despite a lot of Chelsea pressure. Reed was very good in midfield. Despite the penalty miss that's the best i've seen Gallagher play for a while. Led the line well. Hesketh was busy and at the heart of Saints best moments going forward.
Olomola is struggling a little bit out wide. He worked hard with his defensive duties, but don't think his game suits out wide, but good experience for him.

Little and O'Conner put in battling displays and some nice football when given the time

Young Vokins is improving game on game. Much better positionally tonight. Decent set-plays and looks like he is another on the left back production line. A bright future awaits

Injuries and loans have forced our hand in team selection, yet the young players have stepped up and this experience will do them good. With Barnes and Seagar out, the team is badly missing a goal scorer. Considering the defence had 2 u18s and 1 u16, they showed great character to keep their positions. Gape played well RB, but for me is better in the center.
