nice goal from Gallagher. Is it my imagination or does he seem to be on the comeback trail. Has looked lively and confident in last couple of outings. Anyone know how Jay got on? Saw one shot on goal but nothing else of note. I don't think 60 minutes will be enough to get involved at the weekend but would not put it past RK. His presence alone could have a positive effect.
It's amazing what scoring can do for a Striker, i'm sure he will be full of confidence now, I wouldn't expect too much from Jay for the next couple of weeks, the International break comes at a good time, he will probably have a couple more U21 games to get him up to speed.
Jay always had a strange way of walking and running, he walks like he is knackered or stiff, he needs to get some salsa dancing into his rehab to loosing up abit
Jay has a heck of a shot on him. At half time at st marys I was thinking it would be great if Ron blooded some youngsters for the run in as we've nothing to play for
Only just found out about the 5-0. What a nice way to end the day. Even if I am over 24 hours late with hearing the news.
He's a bit pigeon toed. But I think all footballers walk slightly peculiarly, and I've often jokingly thought it might be something to do with studs on slippery floors. I know as a schoolboy player walking out of changing rooms in kit and slipping on damp floors from the shower vapour, until I learned to take small strides. Footballers take tiny strides and their feet are very flat to the floor and it reminds me so much of my time playing. Lots of views of Saints Match Uncovered videos will illustrate how odd they walk. They shuffle along like they're afraid of slipping over. Generally, I take quite long strides which is why I slipped a lot until I learned.
The Public Announcer at St Marys waited a polite 30 seconds after the final whistle to rub the result into the faces of the depressed Liverpool fans. Jays hat-trick got a big cheer
When I watched the U21 video last night it suddenly dawned on me that perennial shortie Josh Sims is beginning to look down to Harry Reed. JS is going through a growth spurt. Hope it doesn't affect his balance and skill unduly.
