Vokins has put in some really good crosses tonight
I thought Slattery and Ramsay looked too good for that team. Hopefully they get more first team action this season or a loan. I guess Smallbone and N’Lundulu had travelled with the first team.Yeah but hes not great on one on ones so Ralph wont play him.
I'm going tonight and will give my view on he game when I get back homehttps://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2019-09-30/u23-preview-southampton-walsall-efl-trophy
Hope Radhi gets to use his strongest players and I wonder if it would a chance for Che Adams to get a goal or two?
Does that mean we're out?
That was 90 minutes of my life I will never get back! Really poor
Started with a 5-3-2 formation trying to put the long ball over the top of their high line defence with no success and over run in midfield
Changed in the second half to 4-4-2 and that looked a bit better but lacking creation up front
Slattery looked very good on the ball but was a little enigmatic and didn't dominate the midfield as I would have expected
Some comments from the Walsall faithful
"Only that lad Slattery would get into our line up"
"No wonder their first team is struggling if thats whats coming up"
"I thought their academy was supposed to be one of the best"
Wouldn't disagree with their comments as I was bitterly disappointed
According to the locals, it was their full strength teamDo you know what sort of team Walsall put out? I wouldn't expect our u23s to have much of a chance against a League 2 sides first team
