I imagine he's training with the first team from such a young age because he is supremly talented, but also because we are keen to show him the pathway is open in the hopes that he will sign a professional contract with us when he's old enough. Wouldn't be surprised if someone like Chelsea turns his head (and his parents £££) before he signs with us.

His neck's about a foot thick, I'm not sure any force known to man can turn his head.

This is the worry. You'd hope the first team opportunities and lessons learned by Dibling may show that the grass isn't always greener. Mind you, if you shove a few £100k at any 16 year old the chances are they will take it!

And understandably so...I'm guessing Jimmy-Jay Morgan is thanking his lucky stars that he locked in some sort of financial security before shredding his knee.

With Gomes though, he's a full 14 months away from being eligible to sign a professional contract (he's actually not even 16 yet), which is a long time for the vultures to circle. With the sort of attention he's getting, our best chance to keep him is to dangle opportunities in front of him that he won't get with bigger clubs. Getting him into a matchday squad before year's end is probably a good first step there.

The Saints v Spurs U21 game is being streamed on Facebook, YouTube and the Saints website (Saintsplay), ko 7pm.
Spurs are unbeaten so could be a tough game.

Spurs a little lucky to win that.
We had the better chances, first half especially, but couldn’t convert.
The goal by Gomez Rodriguez was very good. Took a 40 yard diagonal pass down with his chest then hit a right foot shot across the keeper into the corner.
Spurs winner was a fluke. A clearance by David hit the Spurs striker flush in the face and rebounded into the net.

Jayden Moore, the 17 year old CB, with the THB-style assist.

Watched the highlights of the Zagreb and Spurs games. There’s some talent in the u21 squad and some of them only 15!

Dibling looks v good, Bragg takes a decent penalty, Amo beats full back any time he wants to, Pearce scores goals

A lot of talking about Alejandro Gomes and how much of a big talent he is recently. Just seen that he has signed with a new agent: Tier 1 agency.

Hope they don't convincr him a big money move is the best step for him.
