I don't believe there is such a thing as being good or not good at football. Just being good a certain things. Sure there are special players like Ronaldo and VvD who are good at everything, but for most it's being used in a way that suits your abilities. How well you play can vary so much because of this. It's why sims wasnt used at championship reading but good for us. Reed's energy, ball winning, passing, pressing are all good enough for him to play well under a hasenhuttl team in the PL imo.
Think Reed will be part of the squad next season. Like Fran said, he is our player already and I can’t see us spending money in a position in the team which is already competitive. Don’t know what formation Ralph will opt for, but he is not likely to play more than three midfielders at a time...Romeu, JWP & Hoijberg hold those places and Lemina will be back in the mix soon.
Suspect we'll find time for Reed. Don't think it's a guarantee that we'll have all four of our current CM options next season, either.

Jokes aside, clearly some players are capable of playing at certain levels and i dont think Reed can cut it in the premier league. Happy to be proven wrong!
Reed also has the advantage of being a very tidy passer of the ball, a ball winner and then looks for the quick forward pass even if its 5 yards. Our midfield at the moment has a low pass completion %, which then puts the team back under pressure again. He could be a good option from the bench for the last 15 minutes to try and protect a win
Personally, I would like to see at least one addition to the midfield, in the guise of an attacking, very quick, powerhouse of a player, who can tackle, pass and score. Not too much to ask, is it?
What we need to do, is to splice the DNA of Harrison Reed and Mario Lemina. We might just then have the perfect midfielder. But if all goes wrong we could equally end up with just some short dude who's never landed on the moon.
Current table. Our form's dropped off a bit recently but we are playing Sunderland at the bottom. Wolves are playing man United and reading Stoke. We need to hope wolves don't win and we can beat Sunderland by 2 more than Reading win by (if they win). Tough ask.
Wolves beat United in the u23's after a scoring in the 88th and 91st minute and winning 3 - 2. that means we can't realistically come top so its the playoffs for us.

Let's hope they get promoted....the understatement of the year to say that Saints were disappointed to get relegated last season as we are a team that prides ourselves on the quality of the Academy.
