Why on earth would you want to go there?

Because it looks interesting, because it has great weather, because I like to get out of my comfort zone, I think that's more than enough reasons to want to broaden one's horizons.

Always fancied a Kenyan safari when I was young, but the world is different now. If you are younger, go for it....just don't wander off into the bush and be surprised when you are eaten by a lion. Some tourists are just so naive.

Thinking of going there with the gf next year.

Can recommend Mombassa, incredible beaches and reefs. Can walk miles out to sea, which is a little freaky at first. I found the locals to be brilliant, although that was a few years back and Kenya always is in a state of flux.

Hotel I stayed in was used by British Airways for their cabin crew stop-overs. Dripping in drunk trolly dollies. (fish/barrel)

Cheers. I've heard on the Kenyan coast you get those fish that look like rocks and are venomous enough to kill a man. Were you warned about them?

Might have to find out from people I know at BA which the best hotels are then, as nailing a stewardess would top that trip off nicely.

Can't recall any dangerous fish, but do remember going on a glass bottom boat and when it got a little choppy at one point, a mate threw up onto the glass. This somewhat curtailed the boat trip. One woman screamed very loudly, almost as loudly as British Airways Debbie a bit later that night.
