So? Doesn't mean he is now an excellent attacking midfielder now does it? He is now a defensive midfielder.

Perhaps, and Mikel probably has too, but I maintain that's still his best position. He played attacking midfield against Uruguay last week and had an excellent game.

I'm not disputing that Wanyama is a very good player with a lot of potential, but right now Mikel is better for my money.
 
I'm sick of all this 'you can do better than Southampton' ****e I keep hearing.

Nobody said this about QPR when they were making off the scale purchases. They were seen as ambitious, yet when we go for a big player, we're lambasted - It p**ses me off something chronic!

I've said it before and i'll say it again, with enough time and inclination, you could make Emile Heskey look like Pele in a 4 minute you tube video...

I think you would struggle if all the footage was from the same game and the opposition happened to be Barcelona.
 
To be fair its really only Celtic fans that are saying it! ive seen a few fellow Premier league club fans saying this like "fair play to southampton..." "why cant we get him" ect....

So it's worse than I thought. It's his highlights from one match. On that basis, lets just sign the whole Celtic team from that night and we'll instantly win the premiership.

True, I would have thought we'd all have learnt from the De Ridder situation anyway. His youtube videos convinced all of us that we were signing a Belgian Messi! I've vowed never to be fooled again!

But none of us had actually seen De Ridder play, unlike Wanyama.

Maybe you should check those videos again. The most they showed was that he was fairly quick and had a powerful shot on him. Both turned out to be true.

Probably because he's repeatedly declared he wants to go, and they're getting £12m for him. He's got 2 years left on his contract and he won't sign a new one so his price will only go down from here.

I've watched plenty of him both in the CL and SPL. I saw the Barcelona and Juventus games, and one of the Benfica games. He is the ****.
