I presume the new signing checklist is reaching its final tick...

1) Make Offer for player
2) Make another offer for player
3) Tell player agent to stop blabbing to the media about deal
4) Tell selling club to stop blabbing to the media about deal
5) Make the deal look like its collapsed
6) Laugh at fans on twitter and forums getting their knickers in a twist
7) Get the deal back on
8) Get the player on an easy-jet from wherever
9) Pass the brown envelopes round to all parties are satisfied
10) Get the player down for a medical
11) Pray to god he's not injured after all the proceeding hassle
12) Have him drive around New Forest Hotels and parts of Southampton to get seen
13) Get him to sign the paperwork in front of a fireplace
14) Get him into the photography studio
14) Try to make him look good in the new home kit
15) Fail with the above but carry on regardless
16) Find him a free Eterna watch
17) Someone's forgot the bloody watch
18) No one can find the sodding watch
19) Photoshop him wearing the watch
20) Tweet that he's signed
21) Get the usual quotes out about "being part of the exciting project" & "I have joined a big club with big ambitions"

"Wanyama told BBC Radio Solent: "I'm very, very happy. There have been other options, but I chose Southampton. It's a club with ambitions.""

Transfer finally complete.
